Savli is a village near Vadodara, Gujarat in Western India. It is located near one of the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation centres, which includes companies such as Nirma Chemical, Bombardier Transportation (now acquired by Alstom) coach factory, ABB India, Voith Hydro, Thermax, etc. A branch of Santram Mandir is also located in this village near the Mahi River.

Economy

Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) owned industrial estate spread over 800 hectares housing several engineering- and electronics-related multinational companies. The region has gained prominence since it falls on the Savli-Halol route of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project (DMIC). Also, Savli has also been recognised as a location for Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) which is proposed to be elevated to Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

In 2009, Bombardier Transportation (now acquired by Alstom) opened a Movia car manufacturing and electrical component manufacturing Plant, employing nearly 500 people. The plant houses a 2.5 km of testing metro track. The plant manufactures coaches for Delhi Metro and the New Generation Rollingstock trains for Brisbane, Australia. The plant will also manufacture trainsets for Delhi - Meerut RRTS

Energy company Thermax is investing around Rs 1,000 crore in Savli to add substantially to its manufacturing capacity. German players Voith Siemens and R+B Filter GmbH will be investing around Rs 150 crore and 50 crore respectively for hydroelectric. [1] [ promotion? ]

Savli is an education hub for the town and nearby villages. KJIT Savli is one of the prominent educational campus located in savli which provides KG to college level education. It is the largest educational campus in Savli. The K. J. Institute of Engineering and Technology offers B.E. and Diploma Courses in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer - I.T. and Automobile Engineering Branches. 3 Year's BCA - Bachelor of Computer Application course is also available here. K J Vidhya Mandir - KG to 12th Std. Gujarati & English Medium School is approved by Gujarat Board. K. J. Institute of Ayurveda and Research offers 4.5 Year's B.A.M.S. Ayurveda Courses. Agra Metro is a rapid transit network in Agra, the fourth largest city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) was submitted in 2014 and cleared by the Uttar Pradesh cabinet in 2015. However, due to the formation of a new government and a new Metro Rail Policy, a revised feasibility report was created with the government finally approving it on the 6 March 2024. The Agra Metro is set to consist of two metro lines, with a total length of 29.65 kilometres (18.42 mi).

The Meerut Metro is an under-construction rapid transit system, which will serve the city of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is being built in two phases, out of which the first phase with the first line will cover 23.6 km (14.7 mi) with 13 stations, from Modipuram to Meerut South. It will have nine elevated, three underground stations, one at-grade station as the depot station at Modipuram, and four stations integrated with the Delhi–Meerut RRTS on a single corridor, making the metro the first such rapid transit system in India to be merged directly with a regional railway system. The second phase will include a second line covering 15 km (9.3 mi) from Shradhapuri Phase-II to Jagrati Vihar, with 12 stations, out of which seven will elevated and five will be underground, thereby taking the overall length to 38.6 km (24.0 mi). The metro will also be the fastest metro of India, at an operational speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).

The Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System, also known as Delhi–Meerut RRTS, Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut RRTS and coloquially Rapid Rail, is an under-construction and partially operational 82.15 km (51.05 mi)-long semi high-speed rail and regional transit corridor that will connect the National Capital Region (NCR) cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut. It is the first of the four rapid rail corridors planned under the first phase of the RapidX project managed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). Designed to allow a maximum speed of 180 km/h (110 mph), the distance between Delhi and Meerut will be covered in less than 60 minutes. The project is being executed at a cost of 30,274 crore (US$3.8 billion). It will start from Jangpura as the starting station, run through Sarai Kale Khan, the terminal for the three planned corridors, both in Delhi, and end in Modipuram in Meerut. It will have 16 stations and two depots at Duhai and Modipuram.

Hazira Manufacturing Division (HMD) is the manufactory of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) located at Hazira, Gujarat, India in Surat. It was commissioned in 1991–92. It is a multi-product, fully integrated complex, manufacturing a wide range of petrochemicals, polymers, polyesters and polyester intermediates. Naphtha is the main raw material of this manufactory, A Naphtha cracker facility crackes the Naphtha and feeds the downstream fiber intermediates, plastics and polyester plants. The manufactory consists integrated utilities system which includes raw water, cooling water, demineralized water, fire water, compressed air, nitrogen, steam/condensate and a Coal based Captive power plant.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Namo Bharat</span> Trainset used for RapidX, Indian semi-high-speed regional rail service serving Delhi-NCR

The Namo Bharat is an Indian Electric multiple unit (EMU) train built for RapidX. The train was designed by the French rolling stock manufacturer Alstom at its engineering centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, and was manufactured in Savli, Gujarat. The train has an aerodynamic design which reduces the drag when it travels. The train has a design speed of 180 km/h (110 mph) and is operated at a speed of 160 km/h (99 mph).
