ScanWind was a Norwegian manufacturing company that produced wind turbines. In 2009 Scanwind was bought by General Electric, and became the base for GE Wind Energy in Norway. The company has its head office in Trondheim and production facilities in Verdal Municipality, both Norway, as well as engineering division in Karlstad, Sweden. The company was founded in 1999.
The two models produced by ScanWind are ScanWind 3000 DL with an output of 3.0 megawatts (4,000 hp) and ScanWind 3500 DL at 3.5 megawatts (4,700 hp). These windmills have been installed in the Hundhammerfjellet wind farm in the old Nærøy Municipality, owned by NTE.

Vemork is a hydroelectric power plant outside the town of Rjukan in Tinn Municipality in Telemark county, Norway. The plant was built by Norsk Hydro and opened in 1911, its main purpose being to fix nitrogen for the production of fertilizer. At opening, it was the world's largest power plant with a capacity of 108 megawatts (145,000 hp).
The Begna is a river in Buskerud and Innlandet counties in Norway. The 213-kilometre (132 mi) long river runs from the Filefjell mountain area through Valdres to the town of Hønefoss where it joins the river Randselva before it empties into the Tyrifjorden. The river Begna drains a watershed of 4,875 square kilometres (1,882 sq mi) and this is the primary river in the watershed. Along its course, the river passes through the village of Begna in Sør-Aurdal Municipality. The Norwegian writer, Mikkjel Fønhus lived much of his life and located most of his novels along the river Begna.
Bandak is a lake in the municipalities of Kviteseid and Tokke in Telemark county, Norway. The lake, which is part of the Telemark Canal route, belongs to the Skien watershed. The river Tokke flows into the lake, and the outlet is via the river Strauman, which flows to the lake Kviteseidvatn.
Tjeldbergodden is an industrial facility mainly featuring petroleum facilities located in the northeastern part of the municipality of Aure in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It was constructed during the 1990s and among other things features the Statoil natural gas processing plant for the associated gas from the Heidrun oil field, transported to the facility by the Haltenpipe. Some of the natural gas is used at the co-located methanol plant.
Nygårdsfjellet Wind Farm is a windfarm located in Narvik Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The wind turbines are located at an elevation of 400 metres (1,300 ft) above sea level. The farm is owned by Nordkraft Vind, a joint venture between Narvik Energi and DONG Energy. It started production in 2006 with three 2.3 megawatts (3,100 hp) turbines, an annual production of 26 gigawatt-hours (94 TJ) and with plans to add more turbines.
Hundhammerfjellet Wind Farm is a wind farm located in Nærøysund Municipality, Norway. It has 17 windmills with output between 1.66 to 3.5 megawatts, delivered from Norwegian manufacturer Scanwind, Vestas and Enercon. The farm is owned by Nord-Trøndelag Elektrisitetsverk and has been completed in December 2009 with the installation of the ENERCON E-70 2.3 MW.
Hitra Wind Farm is a 24-turbine wind farm located in the municipality of Hitra in Trøndelag county, Norway and operated by Statkraft. The farm is located on top of the Elsfjellet plateau in the central part of the island of Hitra, just 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) south of the village of Straum and about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of Sandstad. Until the expansion of the Smøla Wind Farm in 2005, Hitra was the largest wind farm in the country and had total cost of 450 million kr.
Glomfjord power plant is a hydroelectric power plant in the village of Glomfjord in Meløy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It gets its water from Nedre Navervatn lake which is located about 465 metres (1,526 ft) above sea level. The plant also house a newer 2.4-megawatt (3,200 hp) Francis generator taking water from Fykanvatn lake as well. The outlet of the plant is the Glomfjorden and then the Norwegian Sea.
Savalen is a lake in Innlandet country, Norway. The 18-square-kilometre (6.9 sq mi) lake is located along the border of the municipalities Tynset and Alvdal. The lake sits about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of the village of Tynset and about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) north of the village of Alvdal.
Nygårds Power Station is a hydroelectric power plant in Storelva in Narvik Municipality. It has a power output of 25 megawatts (34,000 hp) generated by three vertical Francis turbines. Originally, it was used also for the generation of single phase AC for the railway, but today only three phase AC is produced.
Ulla-Førre is a hydropower complex in Southern Norway. It is situated along the borders of the municipalities of Suldal and Hjelmeland and Bykle, Norway. It has an installed capacity of approximately 2,100 megawatts (2,800,000 hp), and the annual average production is 4.45 TWh (16.0 PJ) (1987–2006), while its reservoir capacity is about 7.8 TWh (28 PJ); at full production, it can last seven to eight months. The complex includes the artificial lake Blåsjø, which is made by dams around 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) above the sea level. The hydroelectric power stations in the complex are Saurdal, Kvilldal, Hylen and Stølsdal, operated by Statkraft.
Vikna Wind Farm was a wind farm located on Husfjellet, just west of the village of Garstad on the island Mellom-Vikna in Nærøysund Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The wind farm consisted of five wind turbines, with an installed capacity of 2.2 megawatts (3,000 hp), with an average annual production of 5.8 gigawatt-hours (21 TJ). The wind farm began operation in 1991 and was owned by Nord-Trøndelag Elektrisitetsverk. It was decommissioned in 2015.

The Brokke Power Station is a hydroelectric power station located in the municipality Valle in Agder county, Norway. It is located on the west shore of the river Otra, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) north of the village of Rysstad. The Norwegian National Road 9 runs past the station. The facility operates at an installed capacity of 330 megawatts (440,000 hp). The average annual production is 1,416 gigawatt-hours (5,100 TJ). The power station receives its water from the lake Botnsvatnet via a 30-kilometre (19 mi) long tunnel from the lake high up in the mountains. The water flowing down through the tunnel is used to produce the hydroelectric power.
The Sundsfjord Hydroelectric Power Station is a hydroelectric power station in Gildeskål Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. Part of the plant's catchment area also lies in Beiarn Municipality.
Hitra is an island in Hitra municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 571.5-square-kilometre (220.7 sq mi) island is the 7th largest island in Norway and it is the largest island south of the Lofoten archipelago. The island lies between the Trondheimsleia strait and the Frøyfjorden, just southwest of the entrance to the Trondheimsfjorden. Hitra is surrounded by many islands such as Smøla to the southwest; Bispøyan, Helgbustadøya, Dolmøya, and Frøya to the north; Ulvøya, Fjellværsøya, and Leksa to the east; and Hemnskjela and the mainland of Norway to the south. The 345-metre (1,132 ft) tall Mørkdalstuva is the highest point on the island.
Zambia is potentially self-sufficient in sources of electricity, coal, biomass and renewable energy. The only energy source where the country is not self-sufficient is petroleum energy. Many of the sources of energy where the country is self-sufficient are largely unexploited. As of 2017, the country's electricity generating capacity stood at 1,901 megawatts.
