The SchoolsCompany Trust was a multi-academy trust with academies in Devon and Kent. It was closed in June 2018. [1]

During its existence it was subjected to multiple criticisms: financial irregularities, mis-reporting of attendance, and safeguarding issues in Keystage 4 and Keystage 2. [1] [2] [3]

Academy schools are state-funded schools in England which are directly funded by the Department for Education and independent of local authority control. The terms of the arrangements are set out in individual Academy Funding Agreements. Most academies are secondary schools. Silverdale School Academy in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England

Silverdale School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is the founding school of Chorus Education Trust. It opened in 1957 as a Secondary Modern school, and became a comprehensive school in 1969. It serves approximately 1,200 pupils from the local area, from ages 11 to 18. In 2004 Silverdale was placed 4th in Sheffield school performance exam league tables. In 2017 Silverdale students achieved the top A-level results of all state schools in the city. Recent Ofsted reports have been outstanding, as of 2015. In 2018 it was named the Sunday Times North State Secondary School of the Year. In 2020 it was named Top State School of the North for the Decade by the Sunday Times. The school converted to academy status in January 2013.

The trust was founded by Theodore Agnew, Baron Agnew of Oulton as the East Norfolk Academy Trust in 2012, changing its name to the Inspiration Trust in 2013. Although technically a limited company, as a multi-academy trust the company is an exempt charity, principally regulated by the Department for Education.

Atlantic Academy is a secondary free school situated in Bucks Cross in Bideford, Devon, England. It has 131 pupils as of June 2017, and its current principal is Lynsey Slater. Jordan Kelly, the school's former principal, left in November 2017 for unknown reasons.
