Scott Bowman AO is an England-born Australian academic. [1] [2] [3]

Originally working in England as a radiographer, Bowman was a principal lecturer at London South Bank University before becoming a dean at St Martin's College. [2]

After relocating to Australia, Bowman served in various executive roles at Charles Sturt University, the University of South Australia, and James Cook University. [1] [2]

Bowman served as vice-chancellor of Central Queensland University from 2009 until his retirement in 2018. [4] [5] [6] [7]

Bowman holds a master's degree in politics and business administration and a PhD in clinical decision making. [1]

In recognition of his service to higher education in Australia, Bowman was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia in the 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours. [8]

On 18 February 2021, Bowman was announced as the new Vice-Chancellor of Charles Darwin University. [9]

Ian Douglas Macdonald is a former Australian politician who served as a Senator for Queensland from 1990 to 2019, representing the Liberal Party. He was Minister for Regional Services, Territories and Local Government (1998–2001) and Minister for Fisheries, Forestry and Conservation (2001–2006) in the Howard Government. He was defeated at the 2019 federal election, having been the longest-serving incumbent member of parliament for the final years of his career.

Mark Walter Scott is a public servant and university administrator who serves as the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Sydney. He was the managing director of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation from 2006 to 2016. Prior to commencing at the ABC, Scott had previously held a senior role at Fairfax Media, responsible for the editorial content of the group's major newspapers including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Sun-Herald and The Sunday Age.

Tony Birch is an Indigenous Australian author, academic and activist. He regularly appears on ABC local radio and Radio National shows and at writers’ festivals. He was head of the Honours programme for creative writing at the University of Melbourne before becoming the first recipient of the Dr Bruce McGuinness Indigenous Research Fellowship at Victoria University in Melbourne in June 2015.
