Bradley John Ness, OAM is an Australian wheelchair basketballer. He won a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing and silver medals at 2004 Athens and 2012 London Paralympics. He was selected as the Australian flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Steven Serio is a wheelchair basketball player. As a co-captain of the USA Men's National Wheelchair Basketball Team, he led the American men to their first Paralympic gold medal since 1988 at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games and defended the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. He currently plays for the New York Rolling Knicks in the NWBA Championship Division.

A total of 213 U.S. competitors took part in 18 sports; the only 2 sports Americans did not compete in were soccer 5-a-side and 7-a-side. The American delegation included 16 former members of the U.S. military, including 3 veterans of the Iraq War. Among them were shot putter Scott Winkler, who was paralyzed in an accident in Iraq, and swimmer Melissa Stockwell, a former United States Army officer who lost her left leg to a roadside bomb in the war.

Scott Peter Reardon, is an Australian Paralympic leg amputee sprinter and water skier. He won water skiing world championships in 2007 and 2009. He represented Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in athletics, winning a silver medal in the Men's 100 m T42. At the 2016 Rio Paralympics, he went one placing better to win the gold medal. Reardon has won the Men's 100 m T42 in three consecutive World Para Athletics Championships, from 2013 to 2017. He competed at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, his third games.

Chance Sumner is an American Paralympic wheelchair rugby player from Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 2005 he won his first gold medal at the 2005 World Wheelchair & Amputee Games and two years later was qualified as USQRA National champion. He is a 2009 American Zonals gold medalist and won it again at both 2008 and 2010 Canada Cups as well. He also won gold at the 2008 Summer Paralympics and bronze at the 2012 Summer Paralympics.
Jason Regier is an American Paralympic wheelchair rugby player and eight-time gold medalist from Denver, Colorado. In 2005, he participated at the IWAS World Games where he won a gold medal and next year won three more at the North American Cup, Canada Cup and World championships. After the 2008 North American Cup where he won silver for the first time, he continued winning gold ever since at various championships until 2012 Summer Paralympics where he won his first bronze. Jason is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon as an undergraduate at Oregon State University. He also has a master's degree in business administration and marketing from University of Colorado.
Nicholas Springer was an American Paralympic wheelchair rugby player and a four-time national champion, and gold medalist from New York, New York. In 2006 and 2010, he was awarded a gold medal for his participation at the World championships and in 2008 he won Canada Cup and got another gold that way. The same year Springer won a silver medal for his participation at the North American Cup and won a gold medal at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, China. In 2012 he won his first bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. Besides rugby, he played hockey for 14 years. He was also an avid traveler and enjoyed outdoor activities and scuba diving. Springer died suddenly in 2021 at the age of 35 while swimming at a friend's house.

Emilia Migliaccio is an American amateur golfer. In 2019, she won the gold medal in the women's individual event at the Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru. Migliaccio, Brandon Wu, Stewart Hagestad and Rose Zhang also won the gold medal in the mixed team event.
