Scouting in The Bahamas began with independent local patrols and troops of Boy Scouts with the oldest of which records still exist being formed in 1912. There is also a record of Boys Brigade Scouts in the Bahamas.
In 1912, Evelyn Lobb, a Government House staff member, was instrumental in forming The 1st Bahamas Troop which was attached to the Nassau Grammar School; the 2nd Bahamas Troop (an Open Group) was attached to Queen's College; the 3rd Bahamas Troop was sponsored by St. Mathew's Church, and two Out Island Troops were also formed; the 4th Bahamas Troop on Inagua Island and the 5th Bahamas Troop on Exuma Island.

Another widely recognized movement characteristic is the Scout uniform, by intent hiding all differences of social standing in a country and encouraging equality, with neckerchief and campaign hat or comparable headwear. Founded in 1908, The Scout Association of Malta (TSAM) is the Scouting organization in Malta. TSAM has always maintained a high and respectable Scouting tradition. Its leaders and members are committed to further the ideals of Scouting in line with those as traditionally established by the youth movement's Founder, Lord Robert Baden-Powell of Gilwell, and as further developed by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). TSAM is a forward looking youth movement which, as a non-governmental organisation (NGO), enjoys great respect both locally and internationally. It is the only association in Malta which is recognised by the WOSM, and is also a member of the European Scout Region.

The Scout Association of Guyana, is a Scouting organization in Guyana formed in 1967 as a successor to The Scout Association of the United Kingdom's Guiana branch. The association became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1967. In 2008, the association had 424 members.

An attempt to organize a nationwide Scouting organization in Wuhan was ended by the government in 2004. The Scout Association of the People's Republic of China (中华人民共和国童军总会), founded in 2008 serves Venture Scouts in both genders as well as Rover Scouts. Scouting was founded in 1914 in East Bengal, now Bangladesh, as part of the British Indian branch of The Scout Association, and continued as part of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association until the country's divided sections split in 1971 during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Following its independence, in 1972, the Bangladesh Boy Scout Association was officially formed as successor of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association. Bangladesh became an independent member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1974. The organization changed its name to "Bangladesh Scouts" in 1978. The organization has 1,474,460 members as of 2015.

Later, the St. Joseph's College Scouts were formed in 1913 and registered with The Boy Scouts Association of the United Kingdom in 1914 as its 1st Hong Kong Troop. The Boy Scouts Association's Hong Kong Branch was formed in 1915 and after 1967 was renamed The Scout Association, Hong Kong Branch. In 1977, The Scout Association of Hong Kong was formed.

Scouting in Mauritius began in 1912 when 17 year old Samuel Blunt de Burgh Edwards formed the first patrol of Scouts in Mauritius and later became the first adult leader. He is regarded as the founder of Scouting in Mauritius. Independent Scout troops were formed across Mauritius. In 1913 The Boy Scouts Association of the United Kingdom formed its Mauritian Local Association and attempted to register the local troops. Separate associations for Catholic, Protestant, Muslim and Hindu Scouts developed, some with connections to organisations in other nations. In 1971 The Mauritius Scout Association was constituted.
