Sea Rescue is a 30-minute show which showcases stories of rescue, rehabilitation and return to the wild of marine animals by a team of dedicated vets, animal care experts, animal science researchers and government authorities. Sea Rescue is currently hosted by Matt Gutman of ABC News (former ABC News personality Sam Champion hosted the series until 2014), and appears as part of the Litton's Weekend Adventure live-action kids and family series programming block on the ABC TV network on Saturday Mornings. In 2016, Sea Rescue was honored by the National Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences with a Daytime Emmy® for Best Children's Series.

Matthew A. Gutman is an American reporter for ABC News, who appears on various programs for the network. He is the current host of the U.S. weekly TV series Sea Rescue.

Samuel James Champion is an American weather anchor who is best known for his combined 25-year career on the ABC flagship station WABC-TV and Good Morning America. He formerly co-anchored AMHQ: America's Morning Headquarters and 23.5 Degrees With Sam Champion on The Weather Channel.

Littons Weekend Adventure television series

Litton's Weekend Adventure is an American syndicated programming block that is produced by Litton Entertainment, and airs weekend mornings on the owned-and-operated stations and affiliates of ABC. The block features live-action documentary and lifestyle series aimed at a family audience that meet educational programming requirements defined by the Children's Television Act. Announced on May 24, 2011, Litton's Weekend Adventure premiered on September 3, 2011, succeeding the ABC Kids block.

In 2016, Sea Rescue was awarded the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Children's Series. [1]

Its production ended on June 2, 2018. Reruns aired on ABC's Litton's Weekend Adventure until September 29, 2018. It was replaced by The Great Dr. Scott on October 6, 2018. [2]

The 41st Daytime Emmy Awards, presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), "recognizes outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the 2013 calendar year". The ceremony took place on June 22, 2014 at The Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills, California beginning at 5:00 p.m. PST / 8:00 p.m. EST. For the first time in the event's four-decade history, the Daytime Emmy ceremony will forgo a traditional TV broadcast and instead air only online through the DaytimeEmmys.net website. In prior years, broadcast rights to the event were shared on a rotating basis by ABC, CBS, and NBC, with exceptions in 2009, 2012, and 2013. Xploration Station is an American syndicated programming block that is programmed by Steve Rotfeld Productions, distributed by Fox, and debuted on September 13, 2014. It airs weekends, primarily on Fox-affiliated stations. Aimed towards teenagers, the block consists of four half-hour shows focusing on the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
