Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 in Boston, Massachusetts. The band comprises John Petrucci (guitar), John Myung (bass), Mike Portnoy (drums), James LaBrie (vocals) and Jordan Rudess (keyboards).
Riverside are a Polish progressive rock band from Warsaw. They were founded in 2001 by friends Mariusz Duda, Piotr Grudziński, Piotr Kozieradzki and Jacek Melnicki, who shared a love for progressive rock and heavy metal, although Duda, the main lyricist and composer of the band, was originally a fan of electronic, ambient, experimental music, like Radiohead, Massive Attack, Dead Can Dance, Tangerine Dream, Peter Gabriel, and later on, prog rock like Pink Floyd, Rush, Tool, Marillion, as well as thrash metal. Riverside can be described as a blend of atmospheric rock and metal elements, resulting in a sound similar to that of Porcupine Tree, and Pain of Salvation.
Out of Myself is the debut studio album by Polish progressive rock band Riverside, released on 21 September 2004. It was first released under The Laser's Edge and is the first album in the boxed set Reality Dream Trilogy which includes Out of Myself, Second Life Syndrome and Rapid Eye Movement.

The album was recorded from September 2006 to February 2007 at Avatar Studios in New York City, after the band's first break from summer touring in ten years. The lyrics of the album were written by John Petrucci, James LaBrie, and Mike Portnoy about fictional, political, and personal topics, respectively.

This was the band's last album to feature drummer and founding member Mike Portnoy before his 2010 to 2023 hiatus from Dream Theater. The album was recorded between October 2008 and March 2009 at Avatar Studios in New York City, where they previously recorded Falling into Infinity (1997) and Systematic Chaos (2007). Black Clouds & Silver Linings was produced by John Petrucci and Portnoy, and was engineered and mixed by Paul Northfield.
Anno Domini High Definition is the fourth studio album by Polish progressive rock band Riverside and also the first full-length Riverside album that is separate from the Reality Dream suite. The album was released in Poland on Friday 19 June 2009 through Mystic Production and was released in Europe on 6 July 2009 through InsideOut. The album was a commercial success in the band's home country of Poland where it reached the top of the official album chart. The art design and direction was, once again, handled by Travis Smith.

Originally conceived to allow him to explore genres outside of rock, the project was described by Duda in 2014 as progressive, ambient, oriental and electronic. Lunatic Soul has released seven albums to date. The most recent album, Through Shaded Woods, was released on November 13, 2020, and has been described by Duda as 'more folky' than previous releases.
Memories in My Head is the second EP by Polish progressive rock band Riverside. It was initially only available for sale at concerts on the band's 10th anniversary tour in 2011, before being released to the general public on 20 June in Europe and 28 June in North America.
Shrine of New Generation Slaves is the fifth studio album by Polish progressive rock band Riverside. The album was released on 18 January 2013 in Poland, 21 January in the rest of Europe, and 5 February in the US. It is available in four different formats: digital, 1CD jewelcase, 2CDs mediabook, and 2LP vinyl. The latter two contain two bonus tracks. The author of the art booklets is, as is the case with all the previous albums, Travis Smith. The first single, "Celebrity Touch", was released on 17 December 2012 and a videoclip for the song, directed by Mateusz Winkiel, was released on 14 January 2013.

ID.Entity is the eighth studio album by Polish progressive rock band Riverside, released on January 20, 2023, by Inside Out Music and Mystic Production and was produced by bassist Mariusz Duda. The album peaked at #2 in Poland and #4 in Germany. It is the first album to feature lead guitarist Maciej Meller as a full member, who had replaced Piotr Grudziński as a touring member in 2017 before joining the band as a full member in 2020. Meller was featured on Wasteland, but only as a guest. The cover was created by Polish artist Jarek Kubicki. The first single "I'm Done With You", was released on October 21, 2022, along with a music video. The tracks "Self-Aware" and "Friend or Foe?" would be released as singles in November and January respectively.
