Bhairon Singh Shekhawat became Chief Minister of Rajasthan, India for second time in 1990 as leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and Janata Dal alliance. In 1990 election to Rajasthan Legislative Assembly out of total 200 seats Bharatiya Janata Party won 85 and Janata Dal won 50 seats. [1] Shekhawat was sworn in as chief minister on 4 March 1990. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was the 11th vice president of India. He served in that position from August 2002, when he was elected to a five-year term by the electoral college following the death of Krishan Kant, until he resigned on 21 July 2007, after losing the presidential election to Pratibha Patil.
