Section 108 is an upcoming Indian Hindi language crime thriller film directed by Rasikh Khan. [1] The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Regina Cassandra.

Plot

A billionaire disappeared and the court will soon declare him dead. The insurance company will be required to compensate the nominee of the disappeared billionaire. [2] The insurance company thinks it's a fraud and they hire a lawyer Tahoor Khan played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui to help them fight their case. [3] [4]

Cast

Production

Plans to film Section 108 were first announced in August 2023 and Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Regina Cassandra were confirmed as two of the film's leads. [8] Anees Bazmee was initially attached to serve as a presenter for Section 108, but later withdrew from the project. [9] [10] Rasikh Khan was brought on as director, adapting a script that he co-wrote with Afroz Alam. The film's music was to be composed by Amol-Abhishek and Bhushan Kumar Jain was to serve as cinematographer. [11]

Filming for Section 108 began in and around Delhi during October 2023 and the first round of filming ended in November of the same year. [5] Locations used during filming included the National Agricultural Science Complex, Greater Noida, and Ayatti. [2] The second round of filming was done in Lonavala and began in January 2024. [12] Filming wrapped in May 2024. [13]

Release

The movie was scheduled to be released in February 2024, but postponed until May of the same year before receiving another delay in release. [14] The film's production company, Cinemawala Production, attributed the film's delay to production issues such as scheduling and filming location availability. [15] [ needs update ] As of October 2024 no release date has been set for Section 108. [16]
