Sector 56 (commonly known as Phase 6) is residential and entry level sector located in Chandigarh. It is famous for Verka Milk Plant and Dara Studio, owned by Dara Singh. [1] Also the sector have many marriage palaces such as celebration, Libra orchidand motor market. It is covered with Sector 54, 55, 57, Bar Majra. Seasonal Stream Patiali Ki Rao also touches this sector.

Sector 56 is situated on Kharar Chandigarh Road and Franco Hotel Road. It is well connected with road, rail and air. The nearest airports are Chandigarh Airport and railway station at Industrial Area - Phase 9. It is entry point from all sides of punjab towards Mohali Bus Stand. Auto rickshaw are easily available for commuting. It is easy to commute by bus as all buses to and fro punjab stops in this Sector. A few CTU local buses also available connecting PGI and Landran. It is covered with Lamba, Sector 69, 63 and Phase 7, Mohali. The only bus stand of Mohali is present in this sector. Various parks includes Dusshera Ground, Sabzi Mandi etc.

Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Inter State Bus Terminus or Mohali Bus Stand is an India's first air conditioned bus station located in the sector 56-57 of Mohali city. It was constructed at a cost of 700 crore (US$88 million) and opened to public on 16 December 2016. It will have 1844 Punjab Roadways buses with 1810 ordinary and 34 super integral coach AC buses.

Sector 63 is an important locality in Mohali famous for sports as Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, International Hockey Stadium and Sports complex of Department of Sports is situated in this locality. The seasonal rivulet N Choe passes through it.

Sector 79

Sector 61 is residential sector located in Chandigarh, Punjab. It is covered with Sector 70, Mohali, Sector 71, Mohali, 3B2, Sector 62, Mohali and Sector 52, Chandigarh.

New Chandigarh is a new planned smart city near Mullanpur in the Mohali district in Punjab, India. It has been designed as an extension of the city of Chandigarh. It is developed by the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority. A digital land survey was started by using a drone on 26 April 2018 and was completed on 24 June 2018. Initial Master of city is divided in sectors numbering 1 to 21.
