The National Democratic Alliance is an Indian big tent multi-party political alliance,led by country's biggest political party the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It was founded on 15 May 1998 and currently controls the government of India as well as the government of 19 Indian states and one Union territory.

The turnout for the election was 66.05%,the highest since 1995. The ruling Maha Yuti won a landslide victory winning 235 seats and none of the parties in the Maha Vikas Aghadi had sufficient seats to get the position of leader of opposition,the first time in six decades.
The 2024 Jharkhand Legislative Assembly election was held in two phases from 13 to 20 November 2024 to elect all 81 members of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly. The counting of votes was done on 23rd November 2024. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 34 seats,securing 23.44% of the popular vote and INDIA Bloc won 56 seats passing the majority mark of 41 seats.
The 2024 Indian general election in Maharashtra was held in five phases between 19 April and 20 May 2024 to elect 48 members of the 18th Lok Sabha. The result of the election was announced on 4 June 2024.
