Seminole Canyon

Seminole Canyon, a valley and a stream in Val Verde County, Texas. Its mouth lies at an elevation of 1119 feet (341). The head of the canyon is at 29°44′47″N101°16′07″W / 29.74639°N 101.26861°W / 29.74639; -101.26861 , west of the Southern Pacific Railroad line. The Seminole Canyon Creek has its source to the east of the rail line, on a mountainside 29°44′58″N101°14′27″W / 29.74944°N 101.24083°W / 29.74944; -101.24083 at an elevation of 1740 feet. [1]

Temescal Creek (Riverside County)

Temescal Creek is an approximately 29-mile-long (47 km) watercourse in Riverside County, in the U.S. state of California. Flowing primarily in a northwestern direction, it connects Lake Elsinore with the Santa Ana River. It drains the eastern slopes of the Santa Ana Mountains on its left and on its right the western slopes of the Temescal Mountains along its length. With a drainage basin of about 1,000 square miles (2,600 km2), it is the largest tributary of the Santa Ana River, hydrologically connecting the 720-square-mile (1,900 km2) San Jacinto River and Lake Elsinore watersheds to the rest of the Santa Ana watershed. However, flowing through an arid rain shadow zone of the Santa Ana Mountains, and with diversion of ground water for human use, the creek today is ephemeral for most of its length, except for runoff from housing developments and agricultural return flows.

Lavic Lake volcanic field

The Lavic Lake volcanic field is a volcanic field with extinct cinder cones in the Mojave Desert, in San Bernardino County, California, United States, at 762 m (2,500 ft) elevation. Its cones lie directly alongside historic Route 66 and modern Interstate 40, between Barstow to the west and Ludlow 10 miles to the east.

Temescal Mountains

Temescal Mountains, formerly the Sierra Temescal, are one of the northernmost mountain ranges of the Peninsular Ranges in western Riverside County, in Southern California in the United States. They extend for approximately 25 mi (40 km) southeast of the Santa Ana River east of the Elsinore Fault Zone to the Temecula Basin and form the western edge of the Perris Block.

Head of Devil's River, a place on the Devils River where it has its confluence with Pecos Canyon at an elevation of 1722 feet, below Beaver Lake, nineteen and a half miles above the second crossing of Devils River. Here the San Antonio-El Paso Road left the Devils River to go northwest, 44 miles across Johnson Draw, Government Canyon and Howard Draw to Howard Springs, then 30.44 miles on to Live Oak Creek and Fort Lancaster, 3 miles further near the Pecos River.

Hudson Canyon, is a valley and a tributary ephemeral stream of the Devils River in Val Verde County, Texas. It has its source at 29°57′03″N101°10′38″W at an elevation of 1780 feet. Its mouth has its confluence with Devil's River a short distance below Bakers Crossing at 1499 feet.

Laguña Creek

Laguña Creek also formerly also known as Tyende Creek, is a stream in the Navajo and Apache Counties of Arizona. Laguña Creek has its source at 36°41′15″N110°30′36″W, at the confluence of Long Canyon and Dowozhiebito Canyon at an elevation of 6325 feet / 1928 meters at the head of Tsegi Canyon. Its mouth is in the Chinle Valley at its confluence with Chinle Wash which together forms Chinle Creek, at an elevation of 4774 feet / 1455 meters. Chinle Creek is a tributary of San Juan River which is in turn a tributary of the Colorado River.

Chinle Wash

Chinle Wash is an arroyo, tributary to Chinle Creek in Apache County, Arizona. Its name is derived from the Navajo word ch'inili meaning 'where the waters came out'. Its sources is in Canyon de Chelly National Monument where Canyon de Chelly and Canyon del Muerto have their confluence at an elevation of 5,616 feet at 36°08′35″N109°29′17″W. It then trends northwest to its confluence with Laguña Creek where it forms Chinle Creek, 7 miles northeast of Dennehotso, Arizona at an elevation of 4,774 feet / 1,455 meters.

Carrizo Gorge

Carrizo Gorge is a valley in the Jacumba Mountains, in San Diego County, California. Its mouth is at an elevation of 1,411 feet / 430 meters, where it widens out to become Carrizo Canyon, 1 mile northeast of Palm Grove. Its head is located in the Jacumba Mountains, 1.5 miles north of Round Mountain, at and elevation of 2,600 feet, at 32°39′38″N116°11′28″W.
