Emre Belözoğlu is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder and manager who currently serves as the manager of Fenerbahçe until the end of the 2020–21 season. He was named in the FIFA 100, a list of the 125 greatest living footballers as a part of FIFA's centenary celebrations announced by Pelé. Although he was the Fenerbahçe football team captain known for being a Fenerbahçe fan, as a playmaker, his past clubs other than Fenerbahçe include Galatasaray, Inter Milan, Newcastle United, Atlético Madrid and İstanbul Başakşehir. He is currently the director of football of Fenerbahçe. He is fluent in Turkish, English, Italian and Spanish. Belözoğlu was a part of the Turkish national team from 2000 to 2019, earning over 100 caps and helping the team to the semi-finals at the 2002 World Cup and at Euro 2008.

Aykut Kocaman is a former Turkish footballer, who played as a striker. He is the current manager of İstanbul Başakşehir. Before he made his debut 1980 with the amateur club Kabataş Altınmızrak in Istanbul, Kocaman performed gymnastics at the club Eczacıbaşı, winning 40 medals and reaching second place at the national level. 1984, he moved to Sakaryaspor in Adapazarı, Sakarya and turned professional. Then in 1988, Kocaman signed a contract with Fenerbahçe, where he played and contributed much to success of his club until he was transferred to Istanbulspor in 1996.

He is a former captain of the Brazil national team and Turkish club Fenerbahçe; throughout his career, he also played for Coritiba, Palmeiras, Flamengo and Cruzeiro in Brazil, and Parma in the Italian Serie A. Christoph Paul Daum is a German professional football manager and former player who last managed the Romania national team. Daum played as a midfielder and was a junior for several clubs from the region of Duisburg. He began his senior career with Hamborn 07 and Eintracht Duisburg, before joining 1. FC Köln in 1975 and being part of the reserve team that won the 1980–81 German amateur football championship. As a manager, he won eight trophies with clubs from Germany, Turkey and Austria. Daum began his football career in 1971 in the youth league with Hamborn 07. He transferred in 1972 to Eintracht Duisburg and then in 1975 to 1. FC Köln, where he played in the amateur league until his retirement.
Volkan Demirel is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He was the starting goalkeeper of the Fenerbahçe side that reached the quarter-finals of the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League. He was also the starting goalkeeper of the Turkey side that reached the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2008. Demirel married Miss Belgium 2009 Zeynep Sever on 21 September 2010.
Semih Şentürk is a Turkish retired professional footballer who played as a striker. He has spent most of his club career at Fenerbahçe having risen through the ranks of the Fenerbahçe youth team. He scored 63 goals in 56 games for the youth team and was subsequently called up to the first team. His goalscoring exploits increased hopes among the supporters that Semih could be the future of the Fenerbahçe attacking line. Indeed, he managed to become something of a regular fixture in the team during the 2007–08 campaign, in which he scored 17 goals and finished the season as Süper Lig's top scorer. His more prominent role in the team was rewarded after he was named as the vice-captain of the team in 2007 after the departure of the former captains Ümit Özat and Tuncay.

Also this final marked the re-establishment of the national super cup matches in Turkey, sanctioned by Turkish Football Federation. The last edition was in 1998, and there was an 8-year hiatus.

On 18 July 2013, Fenerbahçe's will enter the Champions League third qualifying round on Friday despite its UEFA ban for match-fixing scandal after winning an emergency ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
