Sergio R. Ortiz-Luis Jr. is a management practitioner in the Philippines. He is the Chairman of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the official chamber of commerce of the Philippines. He is the honorary chairman and president of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP).
Ortiz-Luis holds degrees in Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from De La Salle College (now De La Salle University-Manila College of Business and Economics).[ citation needed ] He also obtained a Master of Business Administration from De La Salle Graduate School (now De La Salle Professional Schools Graduate School of Business).[ citation needed ] He was conferred Doctor of Humanities(honoris Causa) by the Central Luzon State University in 2006. Ortiz-Luis is the President of the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT). He is concurrently the Chairman of the Export and Industry Bank, a Philippine-based bank catering to the export industries. [1]
He is the Chairman of the EIB Realty & Development Corporation, the real estate subsidiary of the Export and Industry Bank. He is the Founding Director of the Manila Exposition Complex, Inc., now popularly known as the World Trade Center in the Philippines. [1]

De La Salle University, also referred to as DLSU, De La Salle or La Salle, is a private, Catholic coeducational research university run by the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila, Philippines. It was established by the Christian Brothers in 1911 as the De La Salle College (DLSC) in Nozaleda Street, Paco, Manila with Blimond Pierre Eilenbecker, FSC serving as director, and is the first De La Salle school in the Philippines. The institution moved to its present location in 1921. The college was granted university status on February 19, 1975, and is the oldest constituent of De La Salle Philippines (DLSP), a network of 16 educational institutions, established in 2006 replacing the De La Salle University System.

Brother Andrew Benjamin Gonzalez, F.S.C. was a Filipino linguist, writer, educator, and a De La Salle Brother. He served as president of De La Salle University from 1979 to 1991 and from 1994 to 1998. From 1998 to 2001 he served as Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports under the presidency of Joseph Estrada.
