Serwan Muhammad J. Baban FRGS FGS (born 1958) is a Kurdish technocrat who served as Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government from 2012 to 2014. Currently he is the Chief Scientific Advisor for the Council of Ministers, Kurdistan Regional Government, Iraq. Previously he was the Vice-Chancellor of Cihan University from December 2014 to April 2017. [1]
Professor Baban was educated at the University of Baghdad (BSc, MSc) and at the University of East Anglia (PhD, 1991). [2] He subsequently worked as a research associate at the University of East Anglia, before holding academic posts at the University of Coventry in the UK, the University of the West Indies and Southern Cross University, Australia. He was awarded a Doctor of Science Degree from the University of East Anglia in 2010.
He previously served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kurdistan Hewler from 2009 to 2012. [3]

Nechirvan Idris Barzani is a Kurdish politician serving as the second President of Kurdistan Region, Iraq. He was elected into office by the Kurdistan Region Parliament in June 2019. Nechirvan Barzani was appointed as Vice President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party since 2010. He previously served as Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government from March 2007 to August 2009 and March 2012 to May 2019. Nechirvan Barzani is also the founder of the University Of Kurdistan Hewlêr, the region's top ranking university located in Erbil. His rule combines aspects of Kurdish nationalism, national conservatism, economic liberalism, modernism and reforms, reforms in agriculture and women's rights.
Mah Sharaf Khanom Mastoureh Ardalan or Mastura Ardalan was a Kurdish poet, historian, and writer.
Tawfeq Mahmoud Hamza or Piramerd was a Kurdish poet, writer, novelist and journalist. He was born in the Goija neighborhood of Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region. In 1926, he became the editor of the Kurdish newspaper Jîyan. He also established a private Kurdish school in Kurdistan, called Pertûkxaney Zanistî.

Before serving as a minister, Abdoka led the Shlama Trend for Christian Affairs in Kurdistan and Iraq, and also leading the biggest Christian Chaldean Assyrian Syriac Alliance and block in the Kurdistan Parliament, and he previously led the local committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Ankawa.
