"Set Pieces" is the first EP release by Canadian indie band Braids. The EP was released in 2008 under the band's original name, The Neighbourhood Council. [1]
The EP was recorded at CJSW in Calgary, Canada in April 2008. [1]

Third Eye Blind is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California, in 1993. The songwriting duo of Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan signed the band's first major-label recording contract with Elektra Records in 1996, which was later reported as the largest publishing deal ever for an unsigned artist. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1997, with the band largely consisting of Jenkins, Cadogan, Arion Salazar, and Brad Hargreaves (drums). Shortly after the release of the band's second album in 1999, Blue, with the same line-up, Cadogan was released from the band under controversial circumstances.
Athlete were an English indie rock band formed in Deptford, London, comprising Joel Pott, Carey Willetts, Stephen Roberts and Tim Wanstall.
Sam Roberts is a Canadian rock singer-songwriter who has released six albums. His debut EP The Inhuman Condition, reached the Canadian charts in 2002. He and his bandmates have released three albums as Sam Roberts and four albums as Sam Roberts Band. He is also a member of Canadian supergroup Anyway Gang, who released their debut self-titled album in 2019. Roberts has been nominated, together with his band, for fourteen Juno Awards, winning six, including Artist of the Year twice and Album of the Year once (2004).
Braid is an American emo band from Champaign, Illinois, formed in 1993.
Jordan Nathaniel Marcel Knight is an American singer-songwriter and actor. He is the lead singer of the boy band New Kids on the Block (NKOTB), who rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s, using a falsetto style of singing influenced by The Stylistics. After New Kids on the Block split in 1994, he launched a solo career. Knight's first solo album, released in 1999, and his latest solo album, released in 2011, reached the Top 50 on the US Billboard 200. As of 2011, he released four Top 40 singles; the most well known being "Give It to You" in 1999. Knight has released three solo albums, one remix album and one EP. On May 31, 2011, Knight released the studio album, Unfinished. Knight has sold over 1.5 million records worldwide as a solo artist. In 2015, Boston City Council declared February 7 "Jordan Knight Day".
Hey Mercedes was an alternative rock band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois, United States, formed after the dissolution of Braid by its former members Bob Nanna, Todd Bell, and Damon Atkinson.
Bob Nanna is an American musician best known as the singer and guitarist for the bands Braid and Hey Mercedes. Nanna also currently performs as part of the band Lifted Bells, as well as a solo project The City on Film. Newest solo album Celebration States was released on July 10, 2020.
Christopher Robert Broach is one of the guitarists/vocalists in the 1990s emo band Braid. Broach joined Braid in 1994, recording his guitar parts on the band's first 7-inch release a week later.
Flemish Eye is a record label started in 2003 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada by Ian Russell. The first release was Infiniheart by Chad VanGaalen, which was picked up in 2005 by indie label Sub Pop. From the success of Infiniheart, the label has earnestly developed a mandate of assisting Calgary-based musicians and artists. Through the release of Women's self-titled album, the label has also developed a working relationship with Bloomington, Indiana-based independent label Jagjaguwar. The label was referred to by CMJ New Music Monthly as a "micro-indie."
David Braid is a Canadian jazz pianist and composer.
The Neighbourhood is an American rock band formed in Newbury Park, California, in 2011. The band is composed of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Brandon Alexander Fried. After releasing two EPs, I'm Sorry... and Thank You, The Neighbourhood released its first full-length album I Love You. on April 23, 2013, via Columbia Records. The same year, the EP "The Love Collection" was released; and in November 2014, a mixtape titled #000000 & #FFFFFF. A second album, Wiped Out! was released on October 30, 2015. On March 9, 2018, a self-titled third studio album came out, preceded by the release of two EPs: Hard on September 22, 2017, which briefly charted on the Billboard 200, and To Imagine on January 12, 2018. After the release of the album, the tracks from the extended plays not included on the final tracklisting were collected in another EP, Hard to Imagine.
Beyond the Neighbourhood is the third studio album by English rock band Athlete and was released in the United Kingdom on 3 September 2007 by Parlophone and was released in the United States on 25 September by Astralwerks. The album peaked at #5 in the UK Album Charts, and eventually turned out to be the band's last album on Parlophone before parting company. It is not clear if the band left after their deal ended, or the label were not keen on renewing their contract.

"Post Marked Stamps No. 4" is a split EP between Kansas City, Missouri band The Get Up Kids and Chicago, Illinois group Braid. The album is the fourth in the "Post Marked Stamps" series, a set of nine split EPs between various bands put out by Tree Records in 1997. There were 2 different pressings of the album; One distributed in the United States, and another sold in Europe during the band's joint European tour. Each song was recorded separately, with "I'm a Loner Dottie, a Rebel" recorded at Red House Studios in Eudora, Kansas, and "Forever Got Shorter" recorded at Private Studios in Urbana, Illinois. The set included a sealed envelope that contained three postcards; One postcard for each song, including recording information and lyrics, and a third featuring poetry by Vigue Martin.
Braids is a Canadian art rock band from Calgary, Alberta, currently based in Montréal, Québec. Braids currently consists of Raphaelle Standell-Preston, Austin Tufts and Taylor Smith. The band met at a young age and began collaborating in high school. Their debut album, Native Speaker, was released on January 18, 2011 in Canada and the United States to generally positive reviews. The album was shortlisted for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize. The band's second album, Flourish // Perish, was released on August 20, 2013. Their third, Deep in the Iris, was released on April 28, 2015, and was awarded the 2015 Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year.
Blue Hawaii are a Canadian electronic music duo from Montreal, Quebec, composed of Braids member Raphaelle "Ra" Standell-Preston and Alex "Agor" Kerby. They have released an EP, Blooming Summer (2010) and three studio albums, Untogether (2013), Tenderness (2017) and Open Reduction Internal Fixation (2019) all on Arbutus Records. The first two albums were nominated for the Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year.

Raphaelle Standell-Preston is a Canadian musician and songwriter, currently the frontwoman of Braids and Blue Hawaii. She releases solo music under the name Indiensoci. Her vocal style has been described as slipping "from exquisite sweetness to Björk-like yelps".
Boston Manor are a British rock band formed in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, in March 2013. They released a first EP, Here/Now, through Never Mend Records on Bandcamp, and in 2014 they signed with Failure By Design Records for their second EP, Driftwood. In 2015 the band signed with Pure Noise Records: with them, they released another EP, Saudade, as well as their full-length albums Be Nothing (2016), Welcome to the Neighbourhood (2018) and Glue (2020). The band's sound blends emo with heavier influences, reminiscing of 90's grunge and early 2000s post-hardcore. The band have been nominated for Best British Breakthrough at Kerrang! Awards in 2018 and Welcome to the Neighbourhood received a nomination for Best Album Artwork at Heavy Music Awards in 2019.
The Neighbourhood is the self-titled third studio album by American alternative band The Neighbourhood. It was released on March 9, 2018 by Columbia Records. It was preceded by two EPs: Hard, which was released on September 22, 2017, and To Imagine, released on January 12, 2018. The tracks from the extended plays that were not finally included on the album were compiled in another EP called Hard to Imagine. These tracks were also released in an additional disc on the digital deluxe edition of the album. An edition known as Hard to Imagine the Neighbourhood Ever Changing was released on November 2, 2018 and included all of the EPs' contents and all but two songs from the original album.
