"Set the World on Fire" is a 1994 song recorded by the Swedish musician known as E-Type. It features vocals by singer Nana Hedin and was released as the first single from his debut album, Made in Sweden . The song was a hit in several countries, particularly in Sweden where it reached number 2. It was released twice, first in 1994, then in 1995, and also featured twice on the album Made in Sweden : in the original studio version, and in an acoustic version. In 1996, it was released in the United States and peaked at #22 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play; it remained charted for a total of 11 weeks.

Robbert Tilli from Music & Media described "Set the World on Fire" as "vintage Euro dance, with a slightly harder edge to it." [1]

The single experienced chart success in many European countries, including Finland, where it topped the chart. The Dutch leading afternoon radio program on national pop outlet Radio 3 FM/Hilversum renamed itself "The Magic Friend", after the single.

Both versions are written by Jan Vincents Johannessen and composed/produced by Svein Gundersen. It features Oslo Gospel Choir and fiddle by Annbjørg Lien. The songs were also included on Kyrkjebø's 1994 number-one album release, Innerst i sjelen.

It makes reference to the Frank Sinatra signature-tune "My Way" and was a top 40 hit in the UK, while peaking at number seven in Germany. In the US, it reached number nine on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. In 1995, the song was re-released, this time peaking at number 32 in the UK. It's accompanying music video was directed by British music video director Sophie Muller.
