Baashha is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language gangster action film written and directed by Suresh Krissna. Uyirile Kalanthathu is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by K. R. Jaya which stars Suriya, Jyothika and Raghuvaran, with Sivakumar and Radhika in supporting roles. The film opened in September 2000, to mixed reviews from critics despite getting a superhit verdict. The film was dubbed into Hindi as Surya Bhai MBBS (2007), in Telugu as Poratam and in Malayalam as Raghu Raman IAS. This film is the second collaboration of Suriya and Jyothika after Poovellam Kettuppar (1999).

Unnaipol Oruvan is a 2009 Indian action thriller film directed by Chakri Toleti in his directorial debut. It stars Mohanlal and Kamal Hassan. The film was simultaneously made in Telugu as Eenadu (transl. Today) with Venkatesh playing Mohanlal's role, both remakes of the 2008 Hindi film A Wednesday!. Set in Chennai and Hyderabad in the Tamil and Telugu versions respectively, the film depicts the confrontation between an anonymous caller who has planted bombs in the city and wants four terrorists to be released, and a police commissioner who tries to hunt him down.

Chidambara Rahasiyam is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language comedy thriller film written and directed by Visu. It stars Visu, S. Ve. Shekher, Delhi Ganesh, Arun Pandian, Ilavarasi and Manorama. The film revolves around a simpleton who is framed for murder. Here enters Visu who teams up with the local police and Arun Pandian to find the real culprits. The subject matter of the film is not related directly to Chidambara Rahasiyam, a Hindu religious belief. The film was released on 14 December 1985.
A. Rajendran, credited as Motta Rajendran or Naan Kadavul Rajendran, is an Indian stunt double and actor working mainly in Tamil cinema. He debuted in 2003 with the Tamil film Pithamagan and has worked as a stunt double in over 500 South Indian films since then. He played the role of a villain in Naan Kadavul (2009) which won huge critical acclaim and fetched him the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Villain. Since then, he has continued to play villainous and later humorous supporting characters in a number of Tamil films. He is noted for his rough voice and alopecia universalis, which he claims was the result of coming into contact with industrial waste during a stunt sequence.
Veeram (transl. Valour) is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language romantic action comedy film directed by Siva and produced by Vijaya Productions. The film stars Ajith Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia, with a supporting cast including Vidharth, Bala, Santhanam, Nassar, Pradeep Rawat and Atul Kulkarni. The film's music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with cinematography handled by Vetri and editing done by Kasi Viswanathan.
Jigarthanda (transl. Cold-heart) is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language crime comedy film written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by S. Kathiresan's Group, features Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Lakshmi Menon, Karunakaran and Guru Somasundaram. Gavemic U. Ary was the cinematographer, making his debut in Tamil cinema, and Vivek Harshan was the editor. Santhosh Narayanan composed the songs and background score.
Jayasimha, better known as Bobby Simha, is an Indian actor who predominantly appears in Tamil and Telugu films. After making brief appearances in the films Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi and Pizza (2012), he portrayed a kidnapper in Nalan Kumarasamy's Soodhu Kavvum and a comic villain in Alphonse Putharen's Neram. Simha's subsequent performance as the Madurai gangster Sethu in Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda (2014) won him critical acclaim and the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Thirumathi Oru Vegumathi is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language drama film, directed by Visu and produced by Kavithalayaa Productions. It is based on Visu's play Bharatha Matharkku Jai. The film stars Pandiyan, S. V. Sekhar, Nizhalgal Ravi and Visu. It was released on 26 January 1987. The film was remade in Kannada as Krishna Mecchida Radhe and in Telugu as Srimathi Oka Bahumathi.

Penmani Aval Kanmani is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film written and directed by Visu, and produced by Kavithalayaa Productions. The film stars Pratap Pothen, Seetha, Visu and Kishmu. It was released on 11 March 1988. The film was remade in Telugu as Aadade Aadharam.

Satya Narayana, Nizhalgal Ravi, Sethu Vinayagam, V. S. Raghavan and Srikanth playing supporting roles. It was released on 13 February 2009.
Mappillai Sir is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film written and directed by D. S. Balagan from a story by Balachandra Menon. The film stars Visu, Mohan and Rekha. A remake of the 1983 Malayalam film Karyam Nissaram, It was released on 12 August 1988.
