Seventh Channel Communications is an Indian film production and distribution company formed in 1985. It produced several Tamil language television serials films in the 1990s, and is headed by Manickam Narayanan. [1] [2]

History

Seventh Channel Communications was set up in 1985 by Manickam Narayanan. After beginning his career as a photographer, Manickam went on to make programmes for Doordarshan. The studio went on to become a premier producer for Tamil television serials and films in the 1990s. During the peak of its operation, the studio was able to attract several film actors to work on television serials including Sivakumar, Roja and S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. [3] [4] The studio has also been involved in the restaurant business, the hosting of live entertainment shows, the International Tamil Film Awards, and the Tamil Nadu Film Festival. [5] [6] [7] [8]

In 2005, Seventh Channel Communications stepped in to take over the production of Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006) starring Kamal Haasan, after the producers at Roja Combines and Oscar Films opted out. [9]

The studio produced Magizh Thirumeni's Mundhinam Paartheney (2010) featuring newcomers Sanjay, Ekta Ghosla, Lizna, Pooja and Vithagan (2011) starring Parthiban and Poorna. [10] [11] In the early 2010s, Seventh Channel collaborated with Star Vijay to dub and release Mahabharat (2013) in the Tamil language. [12]

It revolves around a police officer who tries to track down two serial killers.

Ramesh Choudary also known by his stage name Jithan Ramesh, is an Indian actor and film producer who works in Tamil cinema. He is the third son of film producer R. B. Choudary and elder brother of actor Jiiva. He made his breakthrough with the thriller film Jithan (2005) and has continued to appear in lead roles.

Kaavalan (transl. Bodyguard) is a 2011 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film written and directed by Siddique. A remake of the Malayalam film Bodyguard, the film stars Vijay, Asin and Mithra Kurian with Rajkiran, Roja Selvamani and Vadivelu in supporting roles. <i>Vaaranam Aayiram</i> (soundtrack) 2008 soundtrack album by Harris Jayaraj

Vaaranam Aayiram is the soundtrack album for the 2008 film of the same name directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, and features music by Harris Jayaraj, following four successive soundtracks with the director. The album was under production from one-and-a-half years and featured seven songs written by Thamarai and Na. Muthukumar. The album was distributed by Sony BMG and released on 24 September 2008. The soundtrack for the Telugu dubbed version titled Surya S/o Krishnan featured lyrics by Veturi and was released on 30 October 2008.
