The Leeward Islands cricket team is a first class cricket team representing the member countries of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association,an associate of the West Indies Cricket Board. Antigua and Barbuda,Saint Kitts,Nevis,Anguilla,Montserrat,British Virgin Islands,US Virgin Islands and Sint Maarten are members of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association. The team does not participate in any international competitions,but rather in inter-regional competitions in the Caribbean,such as the Regional Four Day Competition and the Regional Super50) The team competes in regional cricket under the franchise name Leeward Islands Hurricanes. The Leeward Islands has won a total of ten domestic titles –four in first class cricket and six in one-day cricket,but their last title was in 1997–98 when they won the double. The Regional Four Day Competition,formerly known as Shell Shield and Carib Beer Cup,is the first-class cricket competition in the West Indies. It is administered by the Cricket West Indies. In the 2013-2014 season the winner of the tournament was awarded the WICB President's Trophy while the winners of the knockout competition were awarded the George Headley/Everton Weekes trophy. In a few previous seasons the winners of the tournament were awarded the Headley/Weekes trophy. From the 2017–18,the Competition had been sponsored by Digicel and was known as the Digicel Four Day Championship. In 2019-20,the competition has been known as the West Indies Championship.
The Super50 Cup,currently named the CG Insurance Super50 Cup for sponsorship purposes is the domestic one-day cricket competition in the West Indies. It was previously known as the KFC Cup until the fast food chain pulled out of sponsorship in 2008 and the WICB Cup until 2011. Afterwards it was known the Regional Super50 until 2014 when NAGICO Insurance became the title sponsor and it became the NAGICO Regional Super50 until 2021. In recent years it has been run in a condensed format with the group stage taking place over approximately two to three weeks,immediately followed by the knock-out stages. Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) is a List A cricket team and former first-class cricket team that plays in the West Indies domestic competition the Regional Super50 and used to play in the Regional Four Day Competition. Effectively a continuation of the previous University of the West Indies cricket team,the team was created for the 2007/08 season and played their first matches in the KFC Cup one-day competition in October 2007.

The 2018–19 Regional Super50 was the 45th edition of the Regional Super50,the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The tournament started on 3 October 2018. The players' draft for the tournament took place in May 2018. The Windward Islands were the defending champions.
The 2019–20 Regional Super50 was the 46th edition of the Regional Super50,the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The tournament started on 6 November 2019,with the final taking place on 1 December 2019. The tournament featured the six regular teams of West Indian domestic cricket,the Combined Campuses and Colleges team and the West Indies Emerging Team. The national teams of the United States and Canada also took part. Combined Campuses and Colleges were the defending champions.
The 2020–21 Super50 Cup was the 47th edition of the Super50 Cup,the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The tournament took place in February 2021 in Antigua and Barbuda. Six teams competed in the tournament –Barbados,Guyana,Jamaica,the Leeward Islands,Trinidad and Tobago,and the Windward Islands. The West Indies Emerging Team won the previous edition of the competition.
