Maurya has been a Member of the legislative assembly for five terms, has been a minister in the government of Uttar Pradesh, Leader of the house, and Leader of the opposition. He was serving as Cabinet Minister for Labour, Employment and Co-ordination in Yogi Adityanath ministry. Until 2021, he was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party which he joined after a long stint with Bahujan Samaj Party.

Amarpal Sharma is an Indian politician and was a member of the 16th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh of India. He represented the Sahibabad constituency of Uttar Pradesh and was a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party but he left the party and eventually became a member of the Samajwadi Party.

Neeraj Kushwaha Maurya is a leader of Samajwadi Party & Hon'ble Member of Parliament from Aonla Lok Sabha Constituency, Aonla, Uttar Pradesh. He is a former member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Initially, he was associated with Bahujan Samaj Party and has been an MLA from 2007 to 2017, elected twice from Jalalabad constituency in 2007 and 2012. In 2017, he left the BSP to join the Bharatiya Janata Party and played a key role in the Jalalabad Nagar Palika election. But he left the party soon afterwards and finally joined SP in 2022.

He earlier also served as Minister of State in Mayawati cabinet (1997), Minister of Textile and silk industry in Kalyan Singh government (1997) and Minister of Food and Civil Supplies in Mayawati cabinet (2007–2012). In June 2024, Chaudhary defeated Harish Dwivedi of Bharatiya Janata Party and was elected to Indian Parliament, Lok Sabha from Basti Lok Sabha constituency of Uttar Pradesh.

Bandana Singh is an Indian Politician and a Member of 17th Legislative Assembly of Azamgarh district, Uttar Pradesh state of India. She represents the Sagri Constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a Member of Bahujan Samaj Party.

In January 2022, Pandey left Bahujan Samaj Party and joined Samajwadi Party.

Shakir Ali was an Indian politician and cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government. He served as the MLA from Pathardeva in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly after being elected in the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election as a Samajwadi Party candidate.

Fareed Mahfooz Kidwai is an Indian politician and a member of 18th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh representing Ram Nagar since March 2022. He is a member of the Samajwadi Party. Kidwai had previously represented Masauli as a member of Bahujan Samaj Party in the 15th, and Kursi in the 16th Uttar Pradesh Assembly as a Samajwadi Party candidate.
