Shahi Kabir (born 28 September 1978) is an Indian film director and scriptwriter for Malayalam cinema. He is the screenwriter for 'Joseph' (2018) directed by M. Padmakumar and for 'Nayattu' (2021), he won the National Film Award for Best Screenplay at the 69th National Film Awards. [1] He made his directorial debut with 'Ela Veezha Poonchira' for which he received the Best Debut Director Award at the 53rd Kerala State Film Awards. [2]
Kabir was born in Alappuzha, India. He married Sabeena A on July 8, 2007, and has two children. He wrote the script for Joseph (2018), [3] and Nayattu (2021). He also directed Ela Veezha Poonchira . [4]
