The Lohani, sometimes called Nuhani is a Pashtun tribe found in Pakistan especially in the region of Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Shakargarh, Afghanistan and India. They were a mostly pastoral and migratory tribe but nowadays most of them have settled down in the plains of DI Khan, Tank and Lakki Marwat. Lohanis have four branches, Marwat, Daulat Khel, Miya Khel and Tatoor. The Tatoor tribe was crushed by Nadir shah and Daulat khel who brought them near to extinction. Therefore, nowadays Tatoor tribe is generally dispersed in the region of Tank, Dera Ismail khan and FR Tank and especially found in village Tatoor near Tank city.

Lakki Marwat Subdivision formerly Frontier Region Lakki Marwat is a subdivision in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The region is named after Lakki Marwat District which lies to the northeast. The region shares its boundary on the north with Bannu Subdivision, on the west with Tank Subdivision, to the west with North and South Waziristan and to the northeast with the district of Lakki Marwat. Its total area is 132 square kilometers. It is administered by the district coordination officer (DCO) of Lakki Marwat District. The main settlement in Lakki Marwat subdivision is Chichindai Kalai.

The 2010 Lakki Marwat suicide bombing occurred on 1 January 2010, in the village of Shah Hassan Khel, Lakki Marwat District, in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. At least 105 people died and over 100 were injured, many of them critically, when the suicide bomber blew up his sport utility vehicle filled with explosives in the middle of a crowd that had gathered to watch a volleyball game.

Shah Hassan Khel is a village to the south of Lakki Marwat, in the Lakki Marwat District, on the Lakki Marwat Road between Lakki Marwat and Shahbaz Azmat Khel. In 2011, it had some 4,000 inhabitants in about 500 households. The village is located between two streams which lead down from a southern tributary of the Tochi River. The area to the south is mountainous, known as the Sheikh Badin Range. Struggling from insecurity since around 2007, the 2010 Lakki Marwat suicide bombing took place here killing at least 105 people and wounding more than 100 others.
