Shamu Express was a steel roller coaster at SeaWorld San Antonio and SeaWorld Orlando in the Shamu's Happy Harbor section of the park, a kid-oriented section. The trains were designed in line with the park's signature mascot, Shamu the killer whale. [1] [2]

SeaWorld San Antonio theme park

SeaWorld San Antonio is a 250-acre (100 ha) marine mammal park, oceanarium, and animal theme park, in the Westover Hills District of San Antonio, Texas, on the city’s west side. It is the largest of the three parks in the SeaWorld chain owned by SeaWorld Entertainment, and the world's largest marine-life theme park. The other SeaWorld parks are in San Diego, California, and Orlando, Florida. It is a member of the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums (AMMPA) and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).

SeaWorld Orlando is a theme park and marine zoological park, near Orlando, Florida. It is owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. When combined with its neighbor Discovery Cove and Aquatica, it forms SeaWorld Parks and Resorts Orlando, an entertainment complex consisting of the three parks and many hotels. In 2017, SeaWorld Orlando hosted an estimated 3,962,000 guests, ranking it the 11th most visited amusement park in the United States.

The Orlando version closed on April 8, 2018, pending the retheme of Shamu's Happy Harbor to a Sesame Street themed area. [3]

The company was founded in 1988 by Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard, with Bolliger as president and Mabillard as vice-president. B&M has built over a hundred roller coasters around the world and pioneered several new ride technologies, most notably the inverted roller coaster. In North America, B&M coaster designs have been manufactured by Ohio company Clermont Steel Fabricators since 1990. B&M has grown significantly since its founding, originally employing four to as many as 37 in 2012, consisting primarily of engineers and draftsmen. In 2016, the company completed its 100th roller coaster.

Busch Gardens Tampa is a 335-acre (136 ha) African-themed animal theme park located in the city of Tampa, Florida. Busch Gardens Tampa is owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment and is the 2nd largest park in terms of attendance behind SeaWorld Orlando. The park officially features nine roller coasters and two water rides amongst other rides and animal attractions. On April 19th, 2019, Busch Gardens opened its newest roller coaster, a Skyrocket II named Tigris.

Kraken (roller coaster) roller coaster

Kraken Unleashed is a steel floorless roller coaster located at SeaWorld Orlando in the United States. Manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, the ride features a total of seven inversions including two vertical loops, a dive loop, a spiraling camelback, a cobra roll, and a corkscrew. Kraken opened on June 1, 2000. It is also the world's second longest floorless coaster elongating up to 4,177 feet. The roller coaster has been refurbished and renamed to Kraken Unleashed with virtual reality. However as of 2018 fall season, the name Kraken Unleashed has remained, but the virtual reality experience is no longer available.

Manta is a steel flying roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando. The attraction allows guests to encounter numerous species of ray before boarding a manta ray-shaped train that takes them on a 3,359-foot-long (1,024 m) roller coaster ride above the park, reaching top speeds of 56 miles per hour (90 km/h). Designed by Swiss firm Bolliger & Mabillard, Manta restrains riders in the prone position and features four inversions. The well-received attraction officially opened to the public on May 22, 2009. Their slogan is "Dive deep, fly high…".

Dragon Challenge two intertwined roller coasters at Islands of Adventure

Dragon Challenge was a pair of intertwined, inverted roller coasters in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter area of Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida, United States. The ride was themed to two chasing dragons, one side being Chinese Fireball and the other Hungarian Horntail. It featured a layout in which the two trains shared adjacent lift hills but traversed two unique courses. The ride was designed by Bolliger & Mabillard of Switzerland. The Chinese Fireball dragon reached a top speed of 60 mph, and the Hungarian Horntail dragon reached a top speed of 55 mph. Both versions featured five inversions and a total ride time of two minutes and 25 seconds.

Air Grover

Air Grover is a steel roller coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The roller coaster opened with the "Sesame Street Safari of Fun" play area on March 27, 2010. The ride simulates a biplane flight with the Sesame Street character Grover.

Mako (SeaWorld Orlando) steel roller coaster in Orlando

Mako is a steel hypercoaster manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida, United States. Upon completion, Mako became an anchor attraction to the new park area themed to sharks in general. It is located adjacent to SeaWorld's previously existing shark attractions the Shark Encounter aquarium and its attached Sharks Underwater Grill restaurant. It is the first new attraction added to SeaWorld Orlando since Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin opened in 2013, and the first new roller coaster since Manta opened in 2009. Mako reaches a height of 200 feet (61 m) with a maximum speed of 73 miles per hour (117 km/h) and has a total track length of 4,760 feet (1,450 m).

Jazzy Jellies

Jazzy Jellies is a Jellyfish themed spinning samba tower ride located in Shamu’s Happy Harbor at SeaWorld Orlando in the United States. Manufactured by Zamperla, the ride lifts and spins riders to heights of 30 feet in the air. Jazzy Jellies was opened to the public in 2006. It closed in 2018 to retheme the ride to Abby’s Flower Tower as part of the changing from Shamu’s Happy Harbor to Sesame Street.

Sea Carousel

Sea Carousel is a marine themed carousel ride located in Shamu’s Happy Harbor at SeaWorld Orlando in the United States. Manufactured by Chance Rides, the ride features a 45 foot wide pink octopus on the top. Riders board a colorful collection of sea creatures and float up and down as the carousel revolves to the sounds of the sea. Sea Carousel was opened to the public in 2007.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is an upcoming steel roller coaster manufactured by Intamin, currently under construction at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure theme park, scheduled to open on June 13, 2019. Universal described the roller coaster as "a highly-themed roller coaster that will take us into a different corner of the wizarding world, where guests will encounter some of their favorite characters and creatures.” The attraction will replace the Dragon Challenge roller coaster, which closed on September 4, 2017.
