Shana Loxton-Vernaton (born 21 May 2007) is a French rhythmic gymnast, [1] currently a member of the reserve national group.
Shana first caught the eye of the national team coordinators in 2019, when she was invited for a training camp among other pre junior gymnasts. [2]
In 2021, she integrated the national team, when she was again selected for a training camp and an internal routine review with the 2022-2024 code of points. [3] [4]
In February 2022, she won gold among the juniors born in 2007 in the first internal control. [5] In March she was again the winner, among all the juniors this time, and therefore sent to the international tournament in Sofia along Chloé Ineze, where Shana was 15th in the All-Around and second reserve in the hoop and ball finals. [6] [7] [8] In May she won silver at nationals behind Ineze, [9] she was selected for the European Championships in Tel Aviv along the senior group, senior individuals Hélène Karbanov and Lily Ramonatxo and Chloé Ineze and Margot Tran, there Loxton competed with ribbon and was 11th in teams and 23rd with the apparatus. [10] [11] [12] From 2 to 4 June she was also a member of the French team for the Mediterranean Gymnastics Confederation Championships in Mersin, she was 6th in teams and 4th in the ribbon final. In 2023, she became a senior and was invited to join the national senior group, training under Anna Baranova and Sara Bayòn with the dream of competing at the 2028 Olympic Games. [15] On April 14, she was revealed as a reserve for the European Championships in Baku, on the 28th she participated in a demonstration in Miramas. [16]
Mélanie Johanna de Jesus dos Santos is a French artistic gymnast. She was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships. She is the 2019 European all-around champion, a two time European champion on the floor exercise, and the 2021 European champion on the balance beam. She is also the 2018 European silver medalist with the French team, the 2019 European silver medalist on the balance beam, and the 2017 European bronze medalist in the all-around. She represented France at the 2020 Summer Olympics where she placed sixth with the team and on the uneven bars and eleventh in the all-around. She is the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2024 French all-around champion, and she won the Longines Prize for Elegance in 2019.
Coline Devillard is a French artistic gymnast. Devillard is the 2022 World bronze medalist, the 2017, 2023, 2024 European champion and the 2019 European silver medalist on vault. She is the first and only French female gymnast to win the European title on vault. Additionally she was part of the French teams that won silver at the 2018 European Championships and bronze at the 2023 World Championships. She competed in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Carolann Héduit is a retired French artistic gymnast. She is the 2022 European Championships bronze medalist on the balance beam. She is the 2021 and 2022 French all-around champion and represented France at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Maelle Millet is a retired French rhythmic gymnast. She is a three-time French national champion (2021-2023).
Hélène Karbanov is a French individual rhythmic gymnast of Kazakh and Russian descent. She is the 2024 French National all-around champion and the 2022 bronze medalist. She competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the rhythmic individual all-around and finished in 17th place in qualification.
Lily Ramonatxo is a French individual rhythmic gymnast. She a two-time French National all-around medalist.
Candy Brière-Vetillard is a French tumbling gymnast.
Marfa Ekimova is a Russian-born British rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games all-around champion and the two-time British national champion.
