Sharmishtha Raut is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Marathi films and TV series. [3] [4] She is best known for her antagonistic role as Neeraja in the series Man Udhan Varyache , which aired on Star Pravah, and the Zee Marathi series Unch Majha Zoka as Tai Kaku and Julun Yeti Reshimgathi as Archana. Early life and career

Raut was born on 22 April 1984, and raised in Mumbai. [6] At a very young age, she started learning Bharatanatyam. She studied B.Com. at KTHM College in Nashik and then studied MBA at Cummins College.[ citation needed ]

She has received praise for portraying Neeraja in the series Man Udhan Varyache , a Bengali remake of Bou Kotha Kao . In the series Unch Majha Zoka , Raut played the role of Tai Kaku, the widow of Mahadevrao. Raut's other television appearances include Julun Yeti Reshimgathi , Sukhachya Sarini He Man Baware, [7] Mulgi Zali Ho , Aboli and Swarajya Janani Jijamata. [8]

Raut appeared in the first season of Bigg Boss Marathi in May 2018. [9] She turned into a producer for the TV series Tula Shikvin Changalach Dhada . [10]
