The Sharon Raj murder case, also known as the Parassala Sharon Murder Case, [2] occurred in 2022. In this case, Greeshma, a woman, murdered her lover, Sharon Raj, a 23-year-old radiology student, by poisoning him with a pesticide-laced herbal concoction in Parassala, Thiruvananthapuram district. [3] Greeshma committed the crime to end her relationship with Sharon. [4] [5] [6]

In this case, in January 2025, the Additional District Sessions Court in Neyyattinkara sentenced the prime accused, Greeshma, to death. [2]

Murder

On 14 October 2022, Greeshma lured her boyfriend, Sharon Raj, to her home in Ramavarmanchirai near Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, where she gave him an Ayurvedic tonic laced with paraquat, a highly toxic herbicide. Eleven days later, on 25 October 2022, Sharon died due to multiple organ failure. [7] [8] [4]
