The film Gabbar Singh (2012) released to positive reviews and was a blockbuster at the box office, marking his comeback after three back to back failures. Kalyan's second film with Puri Jaganaadh was Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu (2012), which released to above average reviews. Trivikram Srinivas's Attarintiki Daredi (2013) was an industry hit and got him back to the highest level, yet again. His film Gopala Gopala (2015) with Venkatesh was a moderate success while Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Katamarayudu, and Trivikram Srinivas's Agnyaathavaasi received negative reviews. Vakeel Saab (2021), the masala-laced adaptation of the courtroom drama Pink (2016), received positive reviews. His next film, Bheemla Nayak (2022), was a blockbuster and ended up becoming the fourth highest-grossing Telugu film of 2022.

Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy thriller film written and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara under 14 Reels Entertainment, the film features Nani and Mehreen Pirzada in the lead roles while Harish Uthaman, Sampath Raj, Murali Sharma, and Brahmaji play supporting roles. Mehreen Pirzada is an Indian actress and model who predominantly appears in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Punjabi films. Pirzada made her acting debut in 2016 with the Telugu film Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha. She made her Hindi debut with Phillauri and Tamil debut with Nenjil Thunivirundhal both in 2017.
Nani Gentleman is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language romantic thriller film directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti who wrote the film with R. David Nathan. Produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad's Sridevi Movies, Gentleman stars Nani in double role alongside Surbhi, Nivetha Thomas, Tanikella Bharani, Srinivas Avasarala and Vennela Kishore. The film narrates the story of two women, Aishwarya and Catherine, whose respective lovers, Jayaram and Gautham, are lookalikes. When Gautham dies in an accident, Catherine suspects Jai's role in it and spies on him, which reveals further truths about Jai and the people around him, including Gautham.

Anushka Shetty is an Indian actress who appears in Telugu and Tamil films. She made her acting debut in Puri Jagannadh's 2005 Telugu film Super, and appeared in Mahanandi, released later the same year. The following year, she had four releases, the first being S. S. Rajamouli's Vikramarkudu, which helped her gain recognition, followed by Astram, the Sundar C.-directed Rendu,, and a special appearance in AR Murugadoss' Telugu film Stalin. She had two releases in 2007: Lakshyam and Don. In 2008, she appeared in six films, including Okka Magaadu, Swagatam and Souryam. In 2009, Shetty played two roles in the fantasy Arundhati. He made his acting debut with Mohana Krishna Indraganti's 2008 comedy film Ashta Chamma, an Indian adaptation of Oscar Wilde's play The Importance of Being Earnest. After Ashta Chamma's commercial success, Nani played the lead roles in three Telugu films in the next two years: Ride (2009), Snehituda (2009) and Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu (2010). In 2011, Nani collaborated with B. V. Nandini Reddy on the romantic comedy film Ala Modalaindi which was profitable. The same year, he made his Tamil cinema debut with Anjana Ali Khan's Veppam, a crime drama set in the backdrop of North Chennai. The following year, Nani collaborated with S. S. Rajamouli and Gautham Vasudev Menon on the Telugu-Tamil bilingual Eega and the romance film Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu respectively. The former, which was about a murdered man reincarnating as a housefly and avenging his death, earned Nani an award in the Best Hero category at the 2013 Toronto After Dark Film Festival. He received the Nandi Award for Best Actor for his performance in Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu.
Kadaikutty Singam is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Pandiraj and produced by Suriya on his studio 2D Entertainment. The film features an ensemble cast of Karthi, Sayyeshaa, Sathyaraj, Soori, Viji Chandrasekhar, Bhanupriya, Deepa Shankar, Arthana Binu and Priya Bhavani Shankar. The film's music was composed by D. Imman and the cinematographer was by Velraj. The film was released on 13 July 2018 to Positive reviews.
Padi Padi Leche Manasu is a 2018 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film written and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The film stars Sharwanand and Sai Pallavi while Priya Raman, Sampath Raj, Kalyani Natarajan, Murali Sharma, Priyadarshi, and Sunil play supporting roles.
Pushpa: The Rise is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Sukumar. It stars Allu Arjun as the title character alongside Fahadh Faasil, and Rashmika Mandanna while Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Raj Tirandasu, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Ajay and Ajay Ghosh play supporting roles. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media. The first installment in the Pushpa film series, the film depicts the rise of a coolie Pushpa Raj in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood, a rare wood that grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh state.
Aha is an Indian over-the-top streaming service which offers Telugu and Tamil-language content. It is owned by Arha Media & Broadcasting Private Limited, a joint venture between Geetha Arts and My Home Group. The service was soft launched on 25 January 2020 and launched officially on 25 March 2020, coinciding with Ugadi, the Telugu New Year.
Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari is an Indian actor who prominently worked in Telugu films. He made his debut with Avanti Cinema's Nirudyoga Natulu in 2018 and was seen in Raj Rachakonda's Mallesham followed by George Reddy and Palasa 1978. His role as Kesava in the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise brought him nationwide recognition. He was arrested in 2023 for allegedly abetting his ex-girlfriend's suicide.
Konda is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language political crime thriller film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, and produced by Sushmitha Patel. The film explores the political-criminal-nexus between Indian politician couple Konda Surekha, Konda Murali, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, and Maoist Ramakrishna, alias R.K. Konda was released on 23 June 2022 to mixed reviews.
