Shivendra Mahal (born in 1957 in Ropar) is an Indian actor, [1] [2] anchor and movie director. He began his career with serials like his dual role portrayal of Parshurama and Shiva in the mega-epic Mahabharata (1988). He has done many serials in Hindi as well as in his mother language Punjabi. He has directed the film Panchhtawa in 1996. He acted in more than 30 Punjabi & Hindi films. His famous Punjabi language films include Baaghi Soormey (1993), Putt Sardaran De, Vidroh, Main Maa Punjab Dee (National Award winner film Directed by Balwant Dullat), etc.

Sardool Sikander was an Indian singer associated with Punjabi-language folk and pop music, who made his first appearances on radio and television in the early 1980s with his introductory album, "Roadways Di Laari". He also acted in some Punjabi language films, like Jagga Daku. Sardool's father, the late Sagar Mastana, was a famous tabla player who invented a special type of tabla that was played with a thin bamboo stick. Sardool was married to Amar Noorie, a well-known singer and actress herself and has two sons, Alaap Sikander and Sarang Sikander. Both sons are pursuing music and are set to put out their creations in the near future.

Manmohan Singh is an Indian film director and cinematographer. He is the director of Punjabi films and the cinematographer of Bollywood films. In the past he had frequently collaborated with Yash Chopra and his son Aditya Chopra, for whom he shot Chandni (1989), Lamhe (1991), Darr (1993), Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), and Mohabbatein (2000). Besides his Bollywood career as a cinematographer, he is also known as a pioneering director in Punjabi cinema. He directed his first Hindi film, Pehla Pehla Pyar in 1994 and his first Punjabi film Jee Ayan Nu in 2003. He received the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards 2019.

Veerendra was an Indian film actor, director, producer and writer who made 25 Punjabi-language films in his 12-year career. He made his debut with the film Teri Meri Ek Jindri, released in 1975, featuring Dharmendra. He was a regular in Punjabi films of the 1980s. Some of his more popular films were Lambhardarni, Balbiro Bhabhi and Dushmani Dee Agg, which was released after his death.

Rajan Batra is a film producer and distributor, predominantly working in Punjabi films. He began his career as a film producer.

Main Maa Punjab Dee (1998) is a critically acclaimed Punjabi-language film written and directed by Balwant Dullat. The film starred Dara Singh, Manjeet Kullar, Bhagwant Mann, Deepak Saraf, Neeru Singh, Shavinder Mahal and Ravinder Mann. The music was by Kuldeep Singh. The film was critically acclaimed and received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Punjabi. Manjeet Kullar considered her work in the film, "one of my best performances."
