The men's field hockey tournament at the 1968 Summer Olympics was the 11th edition of the field hockey event for men at the Summer Olympics. It took place over a fourteen-day period beginning on 13 October, and culminated with the medal finals on 26 October. All games were played at the Municipal Stadium in Mexico City, Mexico.

Allan "Al" Dean Feuerbach is a former American track and field athlete. He competed in the shot put at the 1972 and 1976 Olympics and finished in fifth and fourth place, respectively. Leonidas Sabanis, sometimes spelled Leonidas Sampanis, is a Greek retired weightlifter, born in southern Albania, who represented Greece in 1996, 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. He has also been a World Champion representing Greece. He was named the 1998 Greek Male Athlete of the Year.

Ahmad al-Abbas was the last Sultan of the Saadi dynasty in present-day Morocco. He was proclaimed Sultan in Marrakesh in the year H.1064 after the death of his father, Mohammed esh-Sheikh es-Seghir. In 1659, he was assassinated by his maternal uncle, Abdul Karim Abu Bakr Al-Shabani. His uncle assumed power as Sultan in Marrakesh until 1667 when he was in turn murdered, it happened shortly before the Alaouite Sultan Moulay Al-Rashid conquered the city in 1668.
Ali Shabanibengar is an Iranian freestyle wrestler who competes at 97 kilograms. Shabani has claimed the 2021 Asian Continental Championship as well as a bronze medal from the 2018 U23 World Championships. He was also the World Championship representative for Iran in 2019 and is a two–time IRI World Team Member.
