The Gauteng Provincial Legislature is the legislature of the South African province of Gauteng. It is a unicameral body of 73 members elected every five years. The current legislature,the sixth,was elected on 8 May 2019 and has an African National Congress majority of 37 members. The legislature is housed in Johannesburg City Hall in central Johannesburg.
Mpho Franklyn Parks Tau is a South African politician who has been a Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs since March 2023 and a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since February 2023,representing the African National Congress. Before becoming a member of Parliament,Tau had been a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature where he served in the Gauteng Executive Council as MEC for Economic Development from December 2020 to October 2022. Prior to that,he was Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs between May 2019 and December 2020.
Janet Audrey Semple is a retired South African politician who served as a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature for the Democratic Alliance (DA) from 2010 to 2019. She was the Provincial Leader of the DA in Gauteng from 2010 to 2012. She previously represented the DA and Democratic Party (DP) in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2009.
Joyce Leswana Kgoali was a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress,she served as the Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces from May 2004 until her death in November 2004. She was a Member of the Executive Council in the Gauteng provincial government from 1998 to 1999 and the chairperson of the ANC's parliamentary caucus between 2002 and 2004.
Michéle Odette Clarke is a South African politician. A member of the Democratic Alliance,Clarke served as a councillor in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality from 2004 until her election to the Gauteng Provincial Legislature as a DA representative in 2014. Jack Bloom is a South African politician who has been a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature since 1994,representing the Democratic Party from 1994 until 2003 and the Democratic Alliance from 2003 onwards. Bloom is the DA's shadow MEC for health. Bloom was the DA caucus leader and the Leader of the Opposition in the provincial legislature from December 2007 to April 2009 and again from March 2011 until May 2014.

Dikeledi Rebecca Tsotetsi is a South African politician from Gauteng. She represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 2009 to 2019 and was the Mayor of Emfuleni Local Municipality from 2006 to 2008.
Paul Stefanus Swart is a South African politician who represented the Democratic Party (DP) and Democratic Alliance (DA) in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2009. He represented the North West constituency and is also a former leader of the DP's North West branch.

Martha Elisabet Olckers is a retired South African politician who was the Western Cape's inaugural Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education from 1994 to 1998. After her term in the Western Cape Provincial Parliament ended in 1999,she represented the New National Party (NNP) in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2004. She is also a former deputy leader of the NNP's Western Cape branch.
Aumsensingh "Omie" Singh is a South African politician and businessman from KwaZulu-Natal. From 2014 to 2019,he represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Council of Provinces,where he co-chaired Parliament's Joint Committee on Ethics and Members' Interests. Before that,he served in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 2001 to 2014 and in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2001. Having entered politics as a member of the Democratic Party (DP),he joined the ANC by floor-crossing in March 2003.
Christopher Mark Lowe is a South African politician. He represented the Democratic Party (DP) and Democratic Alliance (DA) in the National Assembly from 2001 to 2009,serving the KwaZulu-Natal constituency. Before that,he represented the DP in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature from 1999 to 2001 and was a long-serving local councillor in Durban.
Roy Jankielsohn is a South African politician who has been the leader of the opposition in the Free State Provincial Legislature since 2014. He has been the provincial leader of the Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Free State since 2020.
