Shirley Ellis (born 1952; [1] married name Morgan [2] ) is a Welsh former sportswoman who played cricket as an all-rounder and field hockey for the Welsh national team. [3]
She appeared in five One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Young England in the 1973 Women's Cricket World Cup. In her first match,she became the first woman cricketer to open both the batting and bowling in an ODI. [4] [5] [6] Overall,she took two wickets and scored 62 runs,with a high score of 30. [7] She played domestic cricket for Sussex and West of England. [1]
Ellis her first appearance for the Welsh hockey team in 1971,aged nineteen. [3] In 1973 she took part in the Welsh Ladies' tour of the West Indies,from which she emerged top scorer with 17 goals. [8]

David Alan Payne is an English cricketer who made his debut for Gloucestershire in 2009. A left-arm fast-medium bowler,he has represented England at U-19 level in both Test matches and One Day Internationals. He was named as part of the squad for the 2010 U-19 Cricket World Cup. Since his debut for Gloucestershire,he has become a key part of their bowling attack and often opened,and has also showed promise with the bat,by scoring his maiden First Class half-century at the end of the 2011 season.
