Shivam Nair is an Indian film and television director and editor who is best known for his television serial Sea Hawks [2] and his 2006 film, Ahista Ahista . [3]
Nair has been working in the television industry since 1982, and has been involved in numerous television series. He assisted Sriram Raghavan on Raman Raghav, A City, A Killer (1991), a docudrama based on serial killer Raman Raghav. He has also directed and edited three other docudramas based on serial killers and murderers Auto Shankar, Ranga Billa and Feroz Daruwalla.
Ahista Ahista, based on a script by Imtiaz Ali was his first feature film as director, and the 2008 film Maharathi , based on the play by Uttam Gada, is his most recent one. His next thriller film Bhaag Johnny starring Kunal Khemu and Zoa Morani released in 2015. The film is produced by T Series.

Ahista Ahista is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language romance film starring Abhay Deol, Soha Ali Khan and Shayan Munshi. It was released in August 2006. This film marks the directorial debut of Shivam Nair with a story adapted from Fyodor Dostoevsky's 1848 short story, White Nights, on which an earlier Raj Kapoor film Chhalia was also based. Nair and Imtiaz Ali had earlier directed a telefilm Witness for Star Bestsellers, with the same story.

Raman Raghav, also known as Sindhi Talwai, Anna, Thambi, and Veluswami, was a serial killer active during the mid-1960s, labelled by many as Jack the Ripper of India. Raghav went on a killing spree for over three years, with the first round of murders taking place in 1965 and 1966 when 19 people were attacked, and a second round of killings taking place in 1968. He was caught by Maharashtra Police on 27 September. Raghav was spared a death sentence due to mental illness, and was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment; he died in hospital while in prison custody in 1995.

Agent Raghav – Crime Branch is an Indian crime fiction anthology television series, which premiered on &TV from 5 September 2015 to 10 April 2016 for one hour at Saturday and Sunday nights. The series was produced by Contiloe Entertainment of Abhimanyu Singh and starred Sharad Kelkar in the eponymous role of Agent Raghav Sinha, along with Aahana Kumra, Deepali Pansare, Danish Pandor, Jason Tham and Mahesh Manjrekar, the latter appeared in a recurring role. The serial received the Indian Telly Awards in the category of Best Thriller and Horror Show and was also nominated for Best Weekend Show. The show is said to be inspired from the American police drama/mystery television series, The Mentalist.
Raman Raghav 2.0 is a 2016 Indian neo-noir psychological crime thriller film directed by Anurag Kashyap. Produced by Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl, and Madhu Mantena, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushal, and debutante Sobhita Dhulipala. It depicts in eight chapters the cat and mouse chase of serial killer Ramanna (Siddiqui) by corrupt cop Raghavan (Kaushal). Real-life killer Raman Raghav, who operated in Mumbai during the 1960s, inspired the film.
Mindhunter is an American psychological crime thriller television series created by Joe Penhall, based on the 1995 true-crime book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit by John E. Special Ops is an Indian Hindi-language action espionage thriller series for Hotstar Specials created and directed by Neeraj Pandey, with Shivam Nair serving the credits for co-direction. Pandey also produced the series under his Friday Storytellers, a division of his production house, for providing content to the digital medium. It stars Kay Kay Menon as Himmat Singh, a member of Research and Analysis Wing, forms a team of five agents, in order to track down a person, who is the mastermind of the terror attacks which took place in India.
