Shivathmika Rajashekar is an Indian actress who appears primarily in Telugu and Tamil films. [1] She is a recipient of the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut for Dorasaani .

Early life

Shivathmika Rajashekar was born on 22 April 2000, in Hyderabad, India. [2] She is the younger daughter of actors Rajasekhar and Jeevitha. [3] She began working in cinema after finishing her 12th grade studies. [4]

Career

Shivathmika debuted with Dorasaani alongside Anand Deverakonda. The film opened to an underwhelming response from the critics. [5] [6] However, her performance received a favourable reception, and she received the Sakshi Excellence Award for Best Debutant, [7] the Santosham Film Awards for Best Debut Actress, and the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu. [8] Her second release, Anandham Vilayadum Veedu , marking her Tamil debut opposite Gautham Karthik, received a mixed response. [9] [10]

She then starred in the Tamil film Nitham Oru Vaanam , playing one of the three female leads opposite Ashok Selvan. The film had a positive critical response. [11] [12] Her subsequent releases were Panchathantram and Ranga Maarthaanda . [13]

Anandham Vilayadum Veedu is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Nandha Periyasamy and produced by Sri Vaari Film. The film stars Gautham Karthik, Cheran and Shivathmika Rajasekhar with a supporting cast including Saravanan, Vignesh, Daniel Balaji, Rajendran, and Soundararaja. The film was released in theatres on 24 December 2021.

Kushi (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack album to the 2023 film of the same name directed by Shiva Nirvana and starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The film is scored by Hesham Abdul Wahab whose soundtrack featured five songs with lyrics written by Nirvana himself. Madhan Karky, Arun Alat, V. Nagendra Prasad and Raqueeb Alam wrote the lyrics for the Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi versions, respectively. The soundtrack was released under the Saregama label on 15 August 2023, preceded by three singles.
