Shonduras is the online alias of American social media personality Shaun Todd McBride (born July 7, 1987) from Utah. [2] He is best known for Snapchat and YouTube. [3]

Career

After creating a Snapchat account in 2014, Shonduras became one of Snapchat's first content creators to gain a following. [4] [5] [6] Shonduras participated in "SnapperHero," [7] [8] Snapchat's first original series. [9] He began vlogging in 2015 and has over three million subscribers. [1] In 2017, he was listed as one of Forbes's "30 under 30" in the category of Marketing and Advertising. [10]

Nominations and awards

In the 5th annual Streamy Awards, Shonduras was nominated for both "Best Short Form Creativity" and "Best Snapchat Storyteller." SnapperHero, which he participated in, won the Streamy Award for "Best Short Form Creativity." In both the 5th and 6th annual Streamy Awards, he won the "Snapchat Storyteller" Streamy award. [11] [12] In the 7th annual Shorty Awards, Shonduras was a finalist in "The Best Snapchatter" category. [13] In 2016, he was nominated in The Ghosties for both "Snapchatter of the Year" and "Best Storyteller", he won the "Snapchatter of the Year" Ghostie award. [14]

Broadcast live on VH1 and simultaneously livestreamed online, the 5th Streamy Awards were the first to be televised. Several new award categories were added for the 5th Streamys, including new Social Video awards for content on Instagram, Snapchat, and Vine, new subject categories such as Lifestyle and Documentary or Investigative, and Breakout Creator and Breakthrough Artist which were created to celebrate up-and-coming creators.
