The Men's 10 meter air rifle event at the 2024 Summer Olympics took place on 28–29 July 2024 at the National Shooting Centre, Châteauroux.

Sheng Lihao of China won the gold medal, his second at the Paris Olympics. [1]

Shooting competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were originally scheduled from 25 July to 3 August 2020, due to the postponement of the Summer Olympics to 2021, the rescheduled dates were on 24 July to 2 August 2021 at the Asaka Shooting Range. Unlike in 2016, the number of shooters competing across fifteen events at these Games had been reduced from 390 to 360, with an equal distribution between men and women. Furthermore, several significant changes were instituted in the Olympic shooting program, including the substitution of three male-only events, with the mixed team competitions.

He won gold medals in the men's 10 metre air rifle event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, the 10m air rifle event at the 2021 ISSF World Cup Croatia, and the 10m air rifle event at the 2021 ISSF Junior World Championship Lima, and the bronze medal in the 50 m rifle prone event at the 2018 World Championships.

Sheng Lihao is a Chinese sport shooter. He won the silver medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the 10m air rifle event. He won the gold medal in both the Men's 10 metre Air Rifle and the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team in a duo with Huang Yuting at the Summer Olympics 2024 in Paris.

The Women's 10 meter air pistol event at the 2024 Summer Olympics took place on 27–28 July 2024 at the National Shooting Centre, Châteauroux in France.

The 53rd ISSF World Shooting Championships were held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 14 August to 1 September 2023. They also served as a qualification event for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
