Victor Lindgren (born 16 May 2003) is a Swedish sports shooter. [1] He won a gold medal in 10 m air rifle event at the 2023 ISSF World Shooting Championships. [2]
He was born and grew up in Sjöbo, but moved to Sävsjö to attend the sports shooting programme at Riksidrottsgymnasiet there. [2]
Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore,, is an Indian politician, Olympic medallist in shooting and retired colonel in the Indian Army. He is serving as a cabinet minister at the Industry & Commerce, Youth Affairs & Sports Department in the Government of Rajasthan since December 2023. Rathore was a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Jaipur Rural seat since 2014 till 2023.
The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is the governing body of the Olympic shooting events. It also regulates several non-Olympic shooting sport events. The Federation's activities include regulation of the sport, managing Olympic qualification events and quota places, as well as organization of international competitions such as the ISSF World Cup series and ISSF World Championships.
Abhinav Apjit Bindra is an Indian Olympic gold medallist, retired sport shooter, and businessman. He is the first and one of only two Indians to win an Individual Olympic Gold Medal. He is the first Indian to have held concurrently the world and Olympic titles for the men's 10-meter air rifle event, having earned those honors at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships. Bindra has also won seven medals at the Commonwealth Games and three medals at the Asian Games.
The European Shooting Confederation (ESC) is an association of the International Shooting Sport Federation's member federations from Europe, the Caucasus, Cyprus, Israel, and Turkey. After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the ISSF banned Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials from its competitions. In addition, the ESC stripped Russia of its right to host the 2022 European Shooting Championships in the 25m, 50m, 300m, running target and shotgun.
Kurt Ivar Björn Johansson was a Swedish shooter who competed at the 1948, 1960 and 1968 Olympics. In 1948 in London he placed fourth in the free rifle, three positions, 300 m event. In 1960 he finished 19th in the same event and 15th in the 50 m rifle prone competition. In 1968 he placed 17th, 20th and 26th in the mixed free rifle, three positions, 300 m, mixed small-bore rifle, three positions, 50 m, and mixed small-bore rifle, prone, 50 m, respectively.
The mixed ISSF 50 meter pistol was a competition at the 1972 Summer Olympics. It was held on 27 August 1972 at Schießanlage in Munich. There were 59 competitors from 36 nations. Nations had been limited to two shooters each since the 1952 Games.
Torben Grimmel is a Danish sport shooter. Specialising in the ISSF 50m prone rifle event, Grimmel won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He was European Junior Champion in 1995. As of 2023 he has won fourteen ISSF World Cup medals, and two ISSF World Cup finals.
Efthimios Mitas is a Greek sport shooter. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's skeet, finishing in 25th place. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, he took the 13th place at the same event.
Apurvi Singh Chandela is an Indian Shooting player who competes in the 10 metre air rifle event. She won the gold medal in the 2019 ISSF World Cup in New Delhi. She is a recipient of Arjuna award.
The mixed ISSF 50 meter pistol was a shooting sports event held as part of the Shooting at the 1976 Summer Olympics programme. It was the fourteenth appearance of the event. The competition was held on 18 July 1976 at the shooting ranges in Montreal. 47 shooters from 31 nations competed. Nations had been limited to two shooters each since the 1952 Games. The event was won by Uwe Potteck, with East Germany finishing 1–2 as Harald Vollmar took silver. It was East Germany's first victory in the event. Rudolf Dollinger of Austria repeated as bronze medalist. Vollmar and Dollinger were the fifth and sixth men to win multiple medals in the free pistol. Potteck had only begun the sport 23 months prior to his victory and his previous personal best in domestic competitions was a 568. In addition, his practice scores leading up to the games averaged around 563 to 565.

He has competed for Sweden in rifle shooting at two Olympics, and has attained numerous top ten finishes in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series and the European Championships, Hansson trains under head coach Stefan Lindblom for the national team, while shooting at Mönsterås SF.
Aleksandr Babchenko is a Kyrgyzstani sport shooter. He has been selected to compete for Kyrgyzstan in rifle shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has achieved numerous top ten finishes in a major international competition, spanning the Asian Games, and the Asian Championships. Babchenko trains under his longtime coach Sergey Nikishov for the national team, while serving in the army.
Sven Anders Fredrik Haglund is a Swedish sport shooter. He has been selected to compete for Sweden in rifle shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has attained numerous top ten finishes in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series and the European Championships. Haglund trains under head coach Stefan Lindblom for the national team, while shooting at Trollhättans Sportskytte.
Marcus Ricard Åkerholm is a Swedish sport shooter. He has been selected to compete for Sweden in air rifle shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has attained numerous top ten finishes in a major international competition, spanning the World and European Championships and the ISSF World Cup series. Åkerholm trains under head coach Stefan Lindblom for the national team, while shooting at a rifle gun range in Uppsala.
Peter Thuesen is a Danish sport shooter. He has been selected to compete for Denmark in air rifle shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has won two medals, gold and silver, in a major international competition, spanning the European Championships and the ISSF World Cup series. Thuesen trains under head coach Klaus Christensen for the national team at a rifle shooting academy in Aarhus.
Andrey Nikolayevich Vasiliev is a Belarusian sport shooter. He has competed for the former Soviet Union and Belarus in running target shooting at two Olympics, and has been close to an Olympic final in 1992. Outside his Olympic career, Vasiliev has won a total of seven medals in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series, the European Championships and the World Championships. Currently residing in Brest, Belarus, Vasiliev trains under his longtime coach Gennadiy Sotskov for the shooting team at Dynamo.

He has been selected to compete for Sweden in running target shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has won a total of seventeen medals in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series, the World Championships, and the European Championships. Bergstrom trains under head coach Claes Johansson for the national running target team, while shooting at Glaskogens JSK in Glava.
The men's ISSF 50 meter pistol was a shooting sports event held as part of the Shooting at the 1984 Summer Olympics programme. The competition was held on July 29, 1984, at the shooting ranges in Los Angeles. 56 shooters from 38 nations competed. Nations had been limited to two shooters each since the 1952 Games. The event was won by Xu Haifeng of China, with his countryman Wang Yifu taking bronze. As the free pistol was the first medal event in 1984 and the People's Republic of China fully competed for the first time in 1984, these were the first Olympic medals won by competitors from that nation. Ragnar Skanåker of Sweden took silver, 12 years after winning his first medal ; he was the seventh man to win multiple medals in the event and third to win medals 12 years apart.

Henrik Larsen is a Norwegian sport shooter. His achievements include individual gold and silver medals at the European championships, and team gold medals both in World and European championships. He holds a team world record in 50 metre rifle three positions since 2021.
