Shopping is a British post-punk trio based in London and Glasgow. Its members are Ray Aggs (guitar and vocals), Billy Easter (bass guitar and vocals), and Andrew Milk (drums and vocals), who formed the band in November 2012 out of their previous band, Covergirl. [1] [2]
The band released its first album, Consumer Complaints, on 11 April 2013 on Mïlk Records, a record label run by Easter and Milk; [3] it was re-released by FatCat Records in the United States in 2015. [2] Their second album, Why Choose, was released on 2 October 2015 on FatCat Records. [4]
Their third album was The Official Body, [5] which was produced by Edwyn Collins and released on FatCat Records [6] on 19 January 2018. [7]
The band reunited again in the studio in London to record their fourth album, "All or Nothing". The album was recorded over a 10 day period in London with US based producer, Davey Warsop. [8]
Shopping released their debut single "In Other Words", recorded at their rehearsal space Power Lunches, in 2013. This was followed by a European tour.
Later that year, the band released its debut album, Consumer Complaints, also on Milk and Easter's MÏLK label. [9] This was compared to bands like ESG, Delta 5, Talking Heads, and Gang of Four. [3]
The album was released in the U.S. in 2015; later that year, Shopping's second album, Why Choose, arrived via FatCat Records. [9]
Following the second album's release, the band's rehearsal space, Power Lunches, shut down and Milk moved to Glasgow. Shopping adapted, recording their third album with Edwyn Collins at his Clashnarrow studio in the Scottish Highlands. [9]
Their third album The Official Body was released in early 2018. [9]
On 5 December 2019 they announced their fourth album All or Nothing would be released on 7 February 2020. [10]
On 7 February 2020 Shopping released their fourth album on FatCat Records, "All or Nothing", produced by US based producer, Davey Warsop. [11]
NOFX are an American punk rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. Bassist/lead vocalist Fat Mike, rhythm guitarist Eric Melvin and drummer Erik Sandin are original founding and longest-serving members of the band, who have appeared on every release of the band, although Sandin departed briefly in 1985, only to rejoin the following year. El Hefe joined the band in 1991 to play lead guitar and trumpet, rounding out the current line-up.
Neutral Milk Hotel was an American band formed in Ruston, Louisiana, by musician Jeff Mangum. They were active from 1989 to 1998, and then, from 2013 to 2015. The band's music featured a deliberately low-quality sound, influenced by indie rock and psychedelic folk. Mangum wrote surreal and opaque lyrics that covered a wide range of topics, including love, spirituality, nostalgia, sex, and loneliness. He and the other band members played a variety of instruments, including non-traditional rock instruments like the singing saw, uilleann pipes, and "zanzithophone".

Steve Albini is an American musician, record producer, audio engineer and music journalist. He was a member of Big Black, Rapeman and Flour, and is a member of Shellac. He is the founder, owner and principal engineer of Electrical Audio, a recording studio complex in Chicago. In 2018, Albini estimated that he had worked on several thousand albums over his career. He has worked with acts such as Nirvana, Pixies, the Breeders, PJ Harvey, and former Led Zeppelin members Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
