Short Note is the debut album and title track by Australian band Matt Finish, released in January 1981.
The album Short Note peaked at #14 in the Australian albums charts. [1] The title song peaked at #18. It was recorded by Wendy Matthews and appeared on her 2004 album Café Naturale , featured in Triple M’s Best Songs of the Eighties poll in 2005, in the 2007 Australian feature film The Final Winter , and on numerous compilation albums including Rajon Music Group's Australian Made Volume 2 (2001), [2] ScreenSound's Running In The Shadows (2004) [3] and Sony BMG's The Essential Australian series (2008).
A new version of Short Note appears on Matt Finish's 2008 anthology album 1978-2008.

Night Attack is the fifth studio album by Australian band The Angels, it was released in November 1981 through Epic Records. The album peaked at No. 11 on the National albums chart. For the 1982 American release of Night Attack by Epic Records, they used the band name Angel City.
Matt Finish are an Australian rock band formed in mid-1979 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Matt Moffitt (1956–2003) and drummer, composer and producer John Prior. The 1981 line-up of Moffitt, Prior, Richard Grossman on bass guitar and Jeff Clayton on rhythm guitar recorded their debut album, Short Note, which peaked at No. 14 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart. The title song, "Short Note", peaked at No. 33 on the related Singles Chart and became a standard on Australian radio stations. Grossman was later a member of Divinyls and Hoodoo Gurus. On 13 August 2003 Moffit died in his sleep, aged 46. From 2006 Prior has continued Matt Finish with various line-ups.
The Whole Thing's Started is the second studio album by British/Australian soft rock band Air Supply, released in July 1977. The first single "Do What You Do" was released ahead of the album in June, "That's How the Whole Thing Started" followed in October and "Do It Again" appeared in February 1978. Neither the album nor the singles peaked into the Australian Kent Music Report Top 40 charts.

Word of Mouth is the second studio album by Australian band Matt Finish. The album was released in 1984 and produced the singles "Always Another", "Words and Wars" and "Come On Over". When promoting the album, the band supported U2 on their Under Australian Skies Tour.
Fade Away is an EP by Matt Finish. It was recorded live during two sessions at Sydney's PACT theatre in July 1981. Fade Away captured the rawness and power of the live performances for which Matt Finish was renowned.
