Shout Out Out Out Out was a Canadian dance-punk/electro group from Edmonton, Alberta. The band's lineup is unusual in that it includes multiple drummers and bassists, as well as vintage synthesizer equipment. [1] [2]
Shout Out Out Out Out was formed in 2004. [3] The band's debut album Not Saying/Just Saying , released in 2006, garnered significant airplay on Canadian campus radio and on CBC Radio 3. The album debuted at No. 11 on Canada's national campus radio chart, !earshot , in August 2006, [4] and moved up to No. 5 in the September chart. [5]
In February 2007, Not Saying/Just Saying was nominated for the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year, but lost to City and Colour's Sometimes . [6] [7]
In 2008, the band released a split single with San Serac, "Friends"/"In the End It's Your Friends".
Their second album, Reintegration Time , was released on March 3, 2009. [8] That year the band performed at the 2009 Virgin Festival in Baltimore. [7]
The band's third album, Spanish Moss and Total Loss was released on July 17, 2012. [9]
The song Bad Choices from the Reintegration Time album can be played at the player character's apartment in the Citadel DLC for the 2012 video game Mass Effect 3 .
After July 2014, the band was in hiatus for three years. [7]
Band members Gravy and Lyle Bell are also associated with the band Whitey Houston, while Nik Kozub was formerly a bandmate of Luke Doucet in Veal. Lyle Bell is also involved with punk marching band The Wet Secrets. [10] Kozub and Jason Troock are the heads of the band's label, Nrmls Wlcm Records. [11]
Kozub has also released solo material under the name Nik 7, and remixes for other artists as The Paronomasiac.
Frazier joined with Graeme MacKinnon of Wednesday Night Heroes in the band Home Front, whose 2023 album Games of Power was produced by Kozub and Jonah Falco. [12]
Hot Hot Heat was a Canadian indie rock band from Victoria, British Columbia, formed in 1999. The band was signed by Seattle label Sub Pop in 2001 and released its first EP, Knock Knock Knock, and first full-length album, Make Up the Breakdown, the following year. The band released five full-length albums, the last being the self-titled Hot Hot Heat in 2016. The band's style makes use of electronic and traditional instruments and has variously been categorized as dance-punk, post-punk revival, new wave, and art-punk. They made an appearance on Yo Gabba Gabba!, with the song, "Time to Go Outdoors". It was featured on the "Talent" episode.

Roland "Rollie" Pemberton, better known by his stage name Cadence Weapon, is a Canadian-American rapper based in Toronto, Ontario. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Pemberton released his first album, Breaking Kayfabe, in 2005 with positive reviews. He subsequently signed with the American record label ANTI-, releasing the albums Afterparty Babies in 2008 and Hope in Dirt City in 2012. In 2009, Cadence Weapon was named Edmonton's Poet Laureate. His first book Magnetic Days was published by Metatron in 2014. Cadence Weapon released a self-titled album in 2018.
The Embattled Hearts is Canadian band Veal's third album. The album was released in 2003. It was the reintroduction of lead singer Luke Doucet into the band since his comparatively more successful solo career. The album also marked the first with their new bassist, Nik Kozub, who had more of a punk-rock background.
Ten Second Epic was a Canadian five-piece alternative rock band from Edmonton. The band formed in 2002 consisting of Andrew Usenik (vocals), Daniel Carriere (guitar), Craig Spelliscy (guitar), Sandy MacKinnon (bass) and Patrick Birtles (drums).
