Shringi Rishi Dham is located in Lakhisarai district of Bihar state. According to the belief, it was here that King Dashrath performed a Yagya to get a son and after the incarnation of Lord Ram along with his four sons Lakshman, Shatrughan and Bharat, the Mundan Sanskar of all four of them also took place . The hills, waterfalls and ponds of Shringi Rishi are the center of attraction. [1]

History

Shringi Rishi Dham is situated amidst the mountains in Suryagarha block, 25 kilometers from the city. During the journey you will find mountain rocks in cone shape. [2] On reaching the temple, the upper part of the mountain slopes forward, which not only adds to the amazingness of this place but also enhances its beauty. [3] It is believed that when King Dashrath did not have a son, he came here and told his problem to Rishi Shringa, son of Rishi Vibhandak. After this, due to the penance of Shringa Rishi, Agnidev appeared with a bowl of kheer and fed the same kheer to the three queens of the king. [4] After the incarnation of Ram, Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan, Guru Vashishtha named everyone, but the Mundan Sanskar took place in this Shringi Rishi Dham. There are many legends behind the arrival and settlement of Shringi Rishi here. [5]
