Makeshift Patriot is an EP by Sage Francis. The title track was originally released as a free MP3 on the day it was written and recorded, October 11, 2001. The track is a comment on the American media and its response to the September 11, 2001 attacks. The lyrics are written from first hand experience, worked into the track are recordings from Francis' visit to Ground Zero five days after the attack. The song can also be found on the Known UnSoldier "Sick Of Waging War..." CD.

Sorry 4 the Wait is a mixtape by American rapper Lil Wayne, named as an attempt to apologize for the continued delay of his ninth album, Tha Carter IV (4). Wayne said the mixtape would have about ten songs and be similar to No Ceilings, with him using other artists' tracks and making a cover track. It was released for digital download on July 13, 2011, and received generally positive reviews from music critics.

Durk Derrick Banks, known professionally as Lil Durk, is an American rapper and singer from Chicago, Illinois. He first garnered a cult following with the release of his Signed to the Streets mixtape series (2013–2014), which led to his signing of a recording contract from Def Jam Recordings. The company would release his debut studio album, Remember My Name (2015) and its follow up, Lil Durk 2X (2016) before he parted ways with the label in 2018.
