Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic drama film written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions. The film stars Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan and celebrates Indian wedding traditions by means of a story of a married couple and the relationship between their families; a story about sacrificing one's love for one's family. The basic plot is based on the studio's earlier film Nadiya Ke Paar (1982), which was based on Keshav Prasad Mishra's Hindi novel Kohbar Ki Shart. The film features music by Raamlaxman who also composed a 14-song soundtrack, an unusually large number of songs for that period.

The film marks the successful Bollywood debut of Akhtar and Prachi Desai. Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny, and Purab Kohli star as members of the Mumbai-based rock band, "Magik" who reunited in 2008. The winner of seven Filmfare Awards and two National Film Awards, Rock On!! was critically acclaimed but had an average performance at the box office. The film was archived at the Academy Film Archive library.

Strings was a Pakistani pop/rock band composed of two members, plus four live band members from Karachi, Pakistan. The band was initially formed by four college students—Bilal Maqsood, Faisal Kapadia (vocals), Rafiq Wazir Ali (synthesizer) and Kareem Bashir Bhoy —in 1988. In 1992 the quartet disbanded, only to make a comeback with Maqsood and Kapadia in 2000. While the initial band rode the new wave of Pakistani pop music, the later lineup ushered a revival in the Pakistani music industry.
Chashme Baddoor is an Indian 2013 Hindi language slapstick comedy film directed by David Dhawan and written by Sajid and Farhad Samji. An official remake of the 1981 film Chashme Buddoor, it was produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and stars Ali Zafar and Taapsee Pannu with Divyenndu and Siddharth in lead roles.
