Sidekick is a Canadian animated series created by Todd Kauffman and Joey So for YTV, and produced by Nelvana. [1] The series ran from September 3, 2010, to September 14, 2013, with 52 episodes produced. The series is based on the original shorts originally titled The Not-So-Superheroic Adventures of Sidekick aired as part of the 2005 TV series, Funpak. It currently airs reruns on Boomerang, and Disney XD in Canada.
The series is about an orphan boy named Eric Needles, with his best friend Trevor and his two female friends, Vana and Kitty, who are training to become superhero sidekicks at the Academy for Aspiring Sidekicks (though in "Graduation Daze", supervillains can send their henchmen to the academy) in the Canadian city of Splittsboro (based on Scarborough, Toronto). While dealing with intense sidekick training, Eric must also contend with his strict guardian Maxum Brain, his grumpy teacher Professor Pamplemoose, the evil Master XOX and keeping secret the disappearance of his superhero mentor Maxum Man from the city!
In the United States, the series premiered on Cartoon Network alongside Almost Naked Animals on June 13, 2011, until October 15, 2012. [2] The series also aired on Qubo from March 27, 2017, until August 24, 2019. However, it returned on April 4, 2020, but left the schedule once again on July 25, 2020.
In Australia and New Zealand, the series premiered on ABC3, (now ABC Me,) later also on Network Ten on November 23, 2011, and later Disney XD on April 9, 2015.
In the UK, the series premiered on CBBC on September 1, 2014. [3]
The series aired reruns on YTV until June 30, 2023. It currently airs on Boomerang and Disney XD in Canada.

Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are a duo of fictional characters from the American animated television series, SpongeBob SquarePants. They were respectively voiced by guest stars Ernest Borgnine and Tim Conway, who both previously starred in the 1960s sitcom McHale's Navy. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy first appeared in the eponymous season one episode that premiered on August 21, 1999, and have since been featured as recurring characters. Following the actors' deaths, the characters have been relegated to non-speaking cameos after creator Stephen Hillenburg requested not to recast the characters.
The Off-Beats is an American slapstick comedy animated television series that was created by Mo Willems. The first episodes were produced as standalone short animated films for Nickelodeon; but after the series was nominated for a CableACE Award, more segments were produced for Kablam!. The series was initially called The Misfits, but Nickelodeon had Willems change the series' title at the last moment before its television debut. The series was the first to end on KaBlam! after Willems moved to Cartoon Network to create Sheep in the Big City; it too was cancelled after two years on the air.

Atomic Puppet is a Canadian-French animated television series created by Jerry Leibowitz and Mark Drop. The series is a co-production between Canadian independent animation studio Mercury Filmworks, French VFX, motion graphics and animation company Technicolor and French film studio Gaumont's animation division Gaumont Animation.
