Signe Klinting (born April 17, 1990) [1] is a Danish orienteering competitor and medalist from the junior world championships.
She received a silver medal in relay at the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Gothenburg in 2008, together with Ida Bobach and Maja Alm, and received an individual bronze medal in the middle distance at the 2006 championships in Druskininkai. [2] [3]
Jamie Stevenson is a British orienteering champion. In 2003 he won the gold medal in the sprint distance at the World Orienteering Championships. He was the first and, to-date, the only British male orienteering world champion.
Thierry Gueorgiou is a French orienteer who holds the record for gold medals won at the World Orienteering Championships for a male athlete, with 14 gold medals between 2003 and 2017. Gueorgiou has won more than 20 gold medals in international competitions, including the World Orienteering Championships (WOC) middle distance event a record eight times: 2003–2005, 2007–2009, 2011 and 2017.
Chris Terkelsen is a Danish orienteering competitor and World champion. He won a gold medal in the 1997 World Orienteering Championships in Grimstad with the Danish Relay team. He received a silver medal in the 2005 World Orienteering Championships in Aichi. He won the overall World Cup in 1998, and received a silver medal in the 2004 European Championships with the Danish relay team. Terkelsen won the 1997, 1998 and 2000 editions of the Jukola relay.
Olle Kärner is an Estonian orienteering competitor from Tartu. He received a bronze medal in the long distance at the 2006 European Orienteering Championships in Otepää.
Magne Dæhli is a Norwegian orienteering competitor, ski-orienteer, and cross-country skier. His achievements include five medals in the relay at the World Orienteering Championships, of which three are gold medals. His best individual performances include a silver medal in the long distance from the European Orienteering Championships, and a bronze medal in the middle distance from the 2019 World Orienteering Championships.
Dana Šafka Brožková is a Czech orienteering competitor. She is the 2008 World Champion in the long distance and 2009 World Champion in the middle distance. She received a bronze medal in the long distance at the 2006 World Orienteering Championships in Aarhus. She is Junior World Champion from 2001, when she won the classic distance.
Jenny Lönnkvist is a Swedish orienteering competitor, and junior world champion.
Emma Klingenberg is a Danish orienteering competitor, and junior World champion.
Adam Chromý is a Czech orienteering competitor and junior world champion.
Søren Bobach is a Danish orienteering competitor, and world champion at both junior and senior level. He runs for OK Pan Århus.
Maja Møller Alm is a Danish orienteering and Athletics competitor who has won seven World Championships and two World Games titles. She is especially known for her four gold medals on the sprint distance, where she has won the title four years in a row: 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. She is also a medalist from the Junior World Championships. Since 2006 she has been coached by Danish national coach Lars Lindstrøm. Alm is remarkable for her dominant running speed, which gives her a great advantage over other competitors at the sprint distance.
Timo Sild is an Estonian orienteering competitor and junior world champion.
Markus Puusepp is a former Estonian orienteering competitor and junior world champion.
Šárka Svobodná is a Czech orienteering competitor.
Ivan Sirakov is a Bulgarian orienteering competitor from Veliko Tarnovo, who has competed for Bulgaria at two World Orienteering Championships, in 2007 and in 2008. He earned a bronze medal at the Junior World Orienteering Championships.
Michal Smola is a Czech orienteering competitor, silver medalist from the world championships, and junior world champion. He became Junior World Champion in the short distance in Nove Mesto na Morave in 2000, and with the Czech team in relay in 2000 and in 2001. His best achievement by September 2009 is silver medal in the middle distance at the 2008 World Orienteering Championship in Olomouc.
Radka Brožková is a Czech orienteering competitor, bronze medallist from the world championships.
Claus Hallingdal Bloch is a Danish orienteering competitor. He received a bronze medal in the sprint event at the 2006 World Orienteering Championships in Aarhus, behind Emil Wingstedt and Daniel Hubmann. He participated on the Danish team that finished 8th at the 2006 World championship.
Signe Søes is a Danish orienteering competitor. She won a silver medal in the short distance at the 2003 Junior World Orienteering Championships in Põlva. She placed fourth in the sprint, 10th in the middle and 12th in the long distance at the 2009 World Orienteering Championships in Miskolc. At the 2008 and 2010 World Cups, she placed 2nd. At the European Championships 2014 at Palmela, Portugal, Søes became European Champion in the middle distance winning a gold medal.
Ida Bobach is a Danish orienteering competitor who was Junior World Champion in 2009, and became triple Junior World Champion from 2010, when she won the sprint, long distance and the relay. She represents the club OK Pan Århus, and since 2007, has received training from Danish national coach Lars Lindstrøm. In 2015 she won gold medals at the World Championships in the long and Relay.
