Sikkim Judicial Academy

Sikkim Judicial Academy was inaugurated at Sokeythang, Gangtok on June 28, 2018. [1] A Supreme Court Judge Mr. Altamas Kabir, laid the foundation stone of the academy on 15 May 2012.

The academy was to be the second in the North East Region after the first one in Guwahati. The new complex will cater to the academic, administrative and residential needs of the Judicial Academy in imparting training and judicial education to newly inducted civil judges, judicial magistrates and district judges as well as in arranging continuous judicial education programmes for in-service judicial officers and prosecutors. It will also conduct training courses for new prosecutors.

The institute was registered on 17 August 1993 under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. N. R. Madhava Menon was its founding director.

The Albanian School of Magistrates, officially known as the School of Magistrates of the Republic of Albania is an Albanian post-graduate school, where Albanian judges and public prosecutors are trained. The Sindh Judicial Academy is an agency of the government of Sindh in Karachi for legal training. The Academy was established in 1992 under Sindh Judicial Academy Act, 1993 passed by Sindh Assembly. The Academy provides pre-service and in-service training to the judicial officers and court personnel. The management and administration of the Academy are run by the board under leadership of the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court and an appointed Director-General.

Fatima Abdullah Al-Mal is a Qatari judge on the Supreme Judiciary Council. She was one of the first female judges in Qatar, the first Qatari woman to serve as a criminal judge, and is one of a small number of women to work as a criminal judge in the Arab League.
