Silos is the sixth studio album by Australian country music singer Sara Storer. It was released in March 2016 [1] [2] and peaked at number 30 on the ARIA Charts.
At the ARIA Music Awards of 2016, the album won Best Country album.
Christopher Bohlsen from the Renowned for Sound gave the album 3.5 stars out of 5 saying; "Sara Storer has a particular authenticity not too often seen in contemporary Australian country music. As many successful artists seem more Americanised, and more pop-influenced, Storer makes defiantly old-fashioned, deeply Australian music, rough edges and all. It's when she leans into these edges that her music is at its best." adding "The best track on the record is "The Ghost", with Storer shelving her wistfulness and replacing it with a menacing swagger. Surrounded by plucked banjos and sweeping strings, she sings "I’ll make you suffer like a real man should", and the sentiment lends her a much needed edge that isn't apparent until this track." Bohlsen also complemented the track "It Don't Mean Jack" calling it 'stunning' concluding, "Storer's ability to write a powerful song is inarguable, and whilst it's unfortunate that all of Silos can't be held up to its high standard, it still shows what a talented artist she is." Sara Bettine Storer is an Australian country music singer-songwriter and former teacher. She won a record breaking seven Golden Guitar awards in the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2004, and as of 2017, she has won 21 in total. Three of her six studio albums have reached the top 30 on the ARIA Albums Chart, Firefly, Lovegrass and Silos. Silos also won Best Country Album at the ARIA Music Awards of 2016. Storer has been a member of a country music trio, Songbirds (2007–09) alongside Beccy Cole and Gina Jeffries. Her older brother, Greg Storer, is also a country music singer-songwriter and the siblings have recorded and performed together.

American singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles has released seven studio albums, two demo albums, four live albums, two soundtrack albums, six extended plays, twenty-one singles and thirteen music videos. After graduating from University of California, Los Angeles, Bareilles independently released her debut album Careful Confessions in January 2004. In 2005, music executive Charlie Walk signed her to a record deal with Epic Records. A year after, she began to work with Eric Rosse on her second studio album, Little Voice, which featured six re-recorded songs of the twelve that were originally on Careful Confessions, plus six additional songs. "Brave" is a song by American singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, taken from her fourth studio album, The Blessed Unrest (2013). The song was written by Bareilles and Jack Antonoff from the band fun., as the singer was inspired from the struggles that a close friend dealt with in regard to coming out as gay. Bareilles requested Mark Endert to produce it with the explicit goal of radio airplay. "Brave" was released worldwide through digital download on April 23, 2013, as the lead single from the album, through Epic Records.
