Silver Screamers is a 2025 Canadian documentary film, directed by Sean Cisterna. [1] The film profiles a group of senior citizens who come together on a creative project to produce their own amateur film adaptation of Edo van Belkom's short story "The Rug". [2]
The film premiered at Fantastic Fest on September 19, 2025, [3] and had its Canadian premiere on September 21 at the 2025 Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival. [4] At both festivals, it screened in conjunction with the completed The Rug.
It has been acquired for theatrical distribution by Blue Ice Pictures. [5]
