Simon Bob Sinister is an American musician, known as the vocalist for the punk group Ugly Americans, and the metal group Corrosion of Conformity.

Simon Bob Sinister co-founded Ugly Americans In Durham, North Carolina, along with Danny Hooligan, Chris Eubank and Dan Adams. Adams soon left and was replaced by Jon McClain. This punk band's musical influences were diverse. After releasing The Dream Turns Sour, Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed and Philadelphia Freedom, the band broke up. In 1986, Simon Bob Sinister then joined the already established Corrosion of Conformity , releasing the EP Technocracy. Sinister left Corrosion of Conformity two years later and Ugly Americans reformed.

In 2014, Ugly Americans reformed and recorded a four-song EP entitled, Panopticon. The EP included the tracks "Panopticon", "Children of the GMO Corn", "Praying Mantis" and "Pony Picture". Since this recording, the band has played shows in North Carolina and was planning multiple tours for 2015.

Pepper Keenan

Pepper J. Keenan is an American guitarist and vocalist, best known for his work with heavy metal bands Corrosion of Conformity and Down. He joined Corrosion of Conformity in 1989, but did not become the lead singer until the recording of Deliverance in 1994. In 1991, Keenan formed Down with Phil Anselmo of Pantera, Jimmy Bower of Eyehategod, and Kirk Windstein and Todd Strange of Crowbar.

They were influenced by punk rock bands of the 1980s like Suicidal Tendencies, D.R.I., Corrosion of Conformity, Black Flag and the Circle Jerks, as well as heavy metal bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Slayer and Motörhead. Many of their songs are about politics, rebel themes, death, pain and violence. Uncle Slam has released three studio albums and three demo tapes. The band broke up in 1995 but in 2010 they reissued their 1988 album Say Uncle on CD for the first time.

Toxic Shock Records was an American independent record label based first in Pomona, California, then in Tucson, Arizona. The label was spawned from the record store of the same name, by its founders Bill Sassenberger and Julianna Towns in 1983, when they released the first of the "Noise from Nowhere" series of 7" EP compilations. For the next decade they released singles, compilations and albums by many notable and influential bands of the hardcore, noise rock and post-hardcore scenes.

Retox (band)

Retox is an American rock band that formed in 2011. The four-piece was founded by Justin Pearson and Gabe Serbian, both of whom had previously performed together in The Locust, Holy Molar and Head Wound City. The two additional members are Thor Dickey and Michael Crain. Serbian was replaced by Brian Evans in 2013. Retox has since been signed to Ipecac Recordings and Epitaph Records and released three studio albums: Ugly Animals (2011), YPLL (2013) and Beneath California (2015).
